My conundrum is that I'm currently working up in Aberdeen and renting an AirBnB up here. Booked until my contract finishes at the end of April Does essential travel mean I can drive home to Hertfordshire (and remain there) this week? The announcement this evening (inevitably) didn't give me the answer
debateable about being more productive from home. I think a lot of people will be taking the piss from home, myself included. Not just that, but most desk jobs people have 2 or 3 screens. Just the 1 screen at home and that certainly hinders productivity, alongside poor internet. Just my imo
on Thursday last week one of the three supermarket chains here sold enough food to feed 10 million people 1 chain in 1 day

They said what he needed might not be available later & took him to a seating area - took his shopping list & got it for him! #Excellent please log in to view this image please log in to view this image @LBC @ianpaynesport
I’m going to try to learn today how to link from Facebook onto here, but information I have received from a self employed group is that there is a number to phone regarding payment for self employed and it appears we will get 80% of our income based on last 3 or 2 years income, as soon as I can confirm or not I will try to post links on here for all us self employed, although have heard the queuing on phone is horrendously long, so might be worth a wait before dialling. Number is as follows 0800 159 559. This was passed to me by a self employed taxi driving mate in Portsmouth last night.
The man who intervened was none other than the notorious TOMMY ROBINSON apparently, no mention however of his “good deed” in the mainstream media or the police communique, but I imagine in the unfair world of mainstream news his court appearance next month for assaulting a man who sexually abused his 8 yr old daughter will be front page news again ‘cause he’s a racist.

I’m still currently at work, and the one thing I fear is bringing something home and infecting the wife, in my job however I sit in a van escorting abnormal loads around the country I don’t interact with people except in petrol stations all communication with drivers is done via CB radio and emails showing us our routes etc so hopefully am staying clear of contamination, however as most of our work is in aerospace and manufacturing and transportation of large items ie cranes etc to building sites I fear I might be home sooner than expected as this will all cease under non essential.
Still too many grey areas. I'm not an essential worker (far from it), but yesterday's statement left it open to me to go to work 'if it is absolutely necessary and can't be done from home'. My work is not 'absolutely necessary' in a wider sense, but my employers would likely consider it to be so. Based on this, I will continue to go in once a fortnight to do the 10% of my job that can't be done from home. This will involve me using the tube though, and Sadiq Khan is saying this morning that this should be reserved for essential workers.
