You'd hope that NHS staff would have the sense not to get on that tube.
You know London how do they get to work if they live miles away? im not saying it’s right but I imagine supermarket workers etc all have to get to work
And it will be real chaos if the supermarkets don’t get stocked

Many people in London are reliant on public transport in a way that isn't replicated in the rest of the country. I can envisage that a lot of these people would be key workers given the restrictions on tube trains running/station closures/etc... That carriage looks crazy but I have to say all the busses and tube trains I've seen (we live near a station so I can see into them!) have been empty. I keep seeing pictures of crowded bits of London, and I have no doubt they exist, but in the area I live people seem to be practising social distancing to the letter.
To be fair the sceptic in me doesn’t agree it was because it’s the right thing to do but rather o avoid public backlash. Speculate to accumulate so to speak.
If it would be socially acceptable to lay all their staff off I’m sure they’d have done just that, being the rip off merchants they are.
When you consider the size of London in square miles(607) and a population of in the region of 9 million people and you then compare it with Scotland for example at 30,420 square miles and a population of roughly 5.5 million...It gives you some idea of the problem they(Londoners) face during this horror story.Companies refusing to do the right thing and shut up shop will inevitably cause more spreading and place significant strain on the NHS.

The problem is not key workers using the tube, it's all the people who aren't key workers still using them as well.
It will be academic in the next 24-48 hours anyway, as all the idiots in London still making their staff come in, will be banned from doing so.

Is a vann driver stocking the supermarkets not a key worker? I’d say he or she is. Or supermarket staff?
Are the care home workers not key workers Cos they’re not nhs? The person who works in the petrol station? the butcher? The people who work in food production? They’re as much key workers now

Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert was the first National Basketball Association player widely known to be infected, and his diagnosis has since led to the testing of eight teams and 13 more positives among players, coaches and staff members.
But those tests also revealed something curious. At least seven of them, including Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant, didn’t report symptoms when they were diagnosed.
This small, accidental experiment echoes what more scientific studies are finding: People with no symptoms are carrying the sometimes-deadly virus without knowing it—and might be inadvertently helping it spread.
Current U.S. testing guidelines focus largely on people who are already sick. But without more widespread testing to include people who have no symptoms, it isn’t possible to know how many infected people there really are in the U.S., experts said.

Of course they're key workers, they're not the issue, thousands of shops and offices remain open in central London, despite the instruction for everyone to stay at home.
Hopefully the van drivers aren't on there, it would mean they'd forgotten their van.

I've lived in Crouch End, Finsbury Park, Woodgreen, Wembley, Tooting and Clapham, I'm well aware of the importance of the tube, but there's loads of people on them that shouldn't be. Many of the the shops in the West End are still open, the big chains are now closing, but many of the smaller ones are carrying on regardless. My sister's house overlooks London Fields and she was amazed to see Broadway Market absolutely rammed on Saturday and this was Columbia Road flower market at midday yesterday...
