I interrupt the COVID-19 pandemic to bring you my latest episode.......

Last night I went to the supermarket to buy a bag of food for my Dog.
Already in line, a woman behind me asked me if I had a dog?

I stared at her (those who know me will know my sarcastic look) ...but then why would I be buying dog food...right?

So on impulse I told her no, that I didn’t have a dog, that I was starting the dog food diet again, and that I probably shouldn't because I ended up in the hospital the last time, but i did weigh 4 kilos less!

I told her that it was the perfect diet and that all you had to do is carry a few biscuits in your pocket and eat one or two every time you feel hungry (I have to mention that practically everyone in line was interested in my story).

Frightened, the woman asks me if I ended up in the hospital because the Dog food had poisoned me.
I answered...of course not!

I was admitted because I bent down to sniff the bum of a handsome German Shepard and I was hit by a truck.

I thought the man behind her was going to have a heart attack...he was laughing so hard!

...Let’s continue promoting reading!
I have to confess...I copied this and posted this to make you all smile.

Malarial drug chloroquine may help according to several studies (and Donald Trump - that's enough to put you off). It is possible to acquire it online, although Nigerians have already been poisoning themselves by taking too much pre-emptively. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/51980731

When I see someone like Trump dropping brand names I cant help but have the feeling he has agreed to do so for share options or to make money in some way.

Taken off Facebook, but relevant for anyone on here who are key workers or who know any key workers

“Just a reminder to parents, that the guidelines state that if you can keep your child at home then you should do so.

There is a lot of confusion about this. It is NOT compulsory for key workers' children to attend next week. It is NOT an option for children to dip in and out of. It is an EMERGENCY childcare provision, and if children can be left at home safely because there is adequate care or they are old and responsible enough this is what MUST happen. The whole point is to reduce the spread of the transmission. Therefore schools are "open", but therefore only want the absolute minimum number of absolutly essential number of students, so that they can deploy the minimum number of staff and therefore expose the minimum number of children, staff and THEIR FAMILIES to this extreme risk.

Sending your child to school because 'they will miss their friends', 'they will get bored', 'you can't manage them at home' etc is irresponsible and not valid reasons. Please only use this emergency service if it is absolutely nessecary. PLEASE HELP STOP THE SPREAD!!

Nurses, doctors, ANYONE on the medical teams etc are doing an AMAZING job, let's help them by not sending more infected people to their wards!!”

Well written that.

Who knows, it may even make one or two on here who were giving a certain member of our online community totally uncalled for grief a day or two back pause for thought.

Why is it not a crime to stay open? and surely it is a specific public safety issue.

At this point in time, there is no law against it. If they carry on, it will bring forward the tighter restrictions on movement.

I knew that really, I noted that when Boris announced the closure of bars and clubs etc. it was rather wooly worded. We are telling them to close as of tonight and not open tomorrow. Why not say ordered to close and not reopen until further notice?

As I understand it, he has no Authority to 'order' it yet. It'll happen soon though, along with other restrictions if people don't show self control.

B&Q in Hull are operating a one in one out policy, there’s currently about 100 people queuing outside, they’re increasingly the chances of people getting infected. People really are dim.
