With respect Turkish, what’s with the surgical gloves ? Do you change them after EVERY contact with a possible COVID carrier ? Do you carry a box of new gloves with you and dispose of the old ones as clinical waste ?.
If not then it’s just a waste of time and I don’t get the point of wearing them. More important is the frequent hand washing.
I wash my hands frequently yes, but having a disabled wife in the extremely vulnerable bracket, I’m just taking every precaution I can from a personal point of view, I would carry a bottle of hand sanitizer if I could find one as well and yes I carry a box of them in my car and a bag to dispose of them as well, it’s just a personal choice to try to protect me and my wife from the assholes who don’t care or give a f*ck I suppose

In the local Lidl used by mainly immigrants and our local East Europeans I noticed the level of social distancing were beyond non existent with plenty of hugging, kissing of cheeks and handshaking which is how it’s done in their communities, much picking up of fruit, vegetables and fresh meat in packaging only to be replaced and something else picked up in between handshakes etc, now surely this must be inexcusable and down right bloody stupid.

I was reading the following article yesterday and it could be the undoing of the efforts made by the rest of us ...

Added to the fact that Londoners were given what could turn out to be lethal advice by their Mayor...

I think this is what prompted my irrational 'Hoax Post' the other day on here. I have friends who are fretting after having to close their businesses, bars and restaurants, which were virtually empty and then you see pictures like this the next morning ... The Victoria line two days ago ..

Did have savings a few years ago kiwi but helped my younger bro get on the property ladder. I've got nearly 3 grands worth of materials sat at a job (not paid for yet). I dont know if I can even start it ! As Col says, if I feel well then I shall be going to work. I have a couple of empty houses I can work on. If the govt are serious about me staying at home then I need more than half a days wage to see me through a week! I pay my tax just like any employee whom will be guaranteed %80 of their wage. I appreciate that all wages are relative to their employment/jobs but 95 quid a week doesn't do **** all for me!
Things are changing hourly
They will have to give the same to the self employed
Isn't the 95 pounds for people that get sick and won't be working anyway
Unless the country is closed down then there should be nothing stopping you or other people that can avoid close contact from working
Things here seem to get more panic driven by the hour
Mainly by the bloody media scare mongering

Haha. I’ve dusted off my exercise bike and trying to do 20km a day. So far so good. Walked the poor dog half to death too.

Ordered a bench, two adjustable dumbbells and some other gear from Sports Direct before the gyms closed as I didn’t want to use mine and could see it coming. Useless ****s cancelled the bench so I got a cheap one on ebay which is fantastic. The rest of the stuff from Mike Ashley hasn’t turned up still but it’s a lovely bench with nothing to lift on it.
My exercise bike was always good for hanging clothes on

Don’t give yourself a false sense of security. Wearing gloves means f*** all. It’s just another layer for the virus to settle on. Carry on with washing your hands more frequently and using sanitiser if you can’t.

Bit of a judgemental post imo.

How about you **** off!!
How about you get a ****ing grip

Judgemental

Maybe

If there's a chance you can spread it
Stay at home

If you are 100% fit go to work

The govt will look after the self employed
Why wouldn't they
They are looking after everybody else

Taken your advice on board mate, not a false sense of security as such, gloves are only worn when out shopping handling trolley and pre handled items by other people not so concerned about spread of virus.i don’t wear them in the house lol I wash my hands regularly and unfortunately due to the me, me , me hoarders of society there is no sanitizer available otherwise I’d use it and bin the gloves.

Very little from the country’s super rich right now. Branson keeping his head down on Necker, no doubt.

Come on, you rich bastards, show the way.

A yoga tip for you Col, exhale fully before not breathing. It will last longer.
When you hold a gulp of breath in, your lungs are desperately trying to expel the Carbon Dioxide after the required Oxygen has been removed to avoid it getting into your bloodstream and poisoning you.

Try next time, especially if you are brave enough to venture into another big supermarket.

Yeah. I have a trained singing voice and the technique is similar.

Some horrific accounts by doctors of the type of death the virus brings. Slow strangulation over hours and days. If ever there's a case to make mortally ill patients unconscious with morphine it's now.

Expert on what exactly?

Why would revealing his name and hospital cause him problems? It’s just a genuine question.
Expert on conspiracy theories. What do you conclude from him not revealing his full name and where he works?

He might have a contract which precludes him talking about his work in public (I have to confess I haven’t listened to what he has to say. I’m sure he is having a very bad time).

He might equally want to protect his privacy. And who could blame him?

Presumably you are similarly critical of the potentially lethal advice given by the government up until last Monday?

To say you can't catch the virus on the underground when any idiot knows you can catch a virus spread by close contact anywhere that is a confined space is beyond stupid. The government have made errors of judgement based on their 'expert' advice as well, no one is coming out of this looking good. We should have been in lockdown at least a week ago, I'll be amazed and angry if we aren't within a day or two...

Shame your fingers do not have the same restraining techniques of your trained singing voice.

I presume you're referring to my response to Kiwi?

I found his comments very judgemental and insulting as he knows nothing about what other people have had to deal with and the effects from those problems on their finances.
Especially Bob, who I know can speak for himself, but has had his share.

Now, if I upset you and other delicate flowers with my responses to Kiwi then I apologise.

I don't apologise for said responses.
