    Some good-ish, but mostly bad.
Without revealing any actual details or figures I’d say overall the country (NHS wise) is in an ok place (just ok, no better than that) at the moment (will probably change rapidly, this is based on the current situation) but London is ****ed without drastic changes if things continue as they are.

There’s something else I really want to reveal but there’s so few people who know I think I probably need to leave it a bit longer so that there are more possible leaks of the information :bandit:

I will say there is an amazing level of planning going on at the moment and I’m confident the NHS really will do the best job it can.

Just put my firstborn to bed, sat there after she’d fallen asleep just listening to her breathing for a few minutes and appreciating the smaller, otherwise insignificant things that life offers us that we might take for granted. It was a nice moment for me... I hope this pandemic brings the best out of this country, we’ve lost our way these past few years, with divisions and hate... here’s hoping eh!

I don't know what the CMO has said tbh, but every medical expert I've seen talking about it on TV and radio says the evidence so far suggests you can't.

Some coronavirus like a regular cold can be caught again though so fck knows.

One other thing, once you've had it and recovered, even IF you get it again I remember hearing a medical expert say you won't be infectious (which is one positive) but I'm speaking from memory here.

    Not sure mate .
I ve often wondered about this how do you get an economy moving again .
    Hull applied for UBI.
IT was reported In the local paper and it was full of people saying I'd go on a shopping spree in Leeds ,Liverpool etc .
Some said I'd have holidays trips etc .
My dad said we would bank it and leave it there
    ( they're 76 ffs )
None was looking at the local economy.
I think it was £100 per person per week for a year .
It's a none starter for me even if it would be nice.
Better scheme would be a voucher scheme that had to be pumped into the local area ,

Theres a lot of people on the vital list !
We supply millions of labels a week for a the major supermarkets.
The main producer of things like Bolognese ,Curry ,Sweet n Sour etc sauces are coming under massive pressure from all the main supermarkets for supply due to selfish shelf stripping !
We are on the verge of very basic choice due to the people being selfish.
If people think a few months then back to normal they will be disappointed

The progression of deaths is still worrying. The number of UK deaths is accelerating at a faster rate than italy

can't remember exactly what he said but it was on the lines of "yes we have had a case of a patient retesting positive for the virus but there are always rare cases who re contract but is a as i said a rarity and we expect most to have at minimum some immunity in short term"

The last bit was in reference to perhaps the next wave having mutated slightly .

Supply are teachers working through agency on short-term basis. They are only paid for the days they work.

You have long-term supply teachers who may have termly or yearly contracts but won't get paid when schools are closed e.g. Easter or Summer hols.

But most are short term supply teacher i.e. they will get a call in the morning to cover absences etc. and will end up working in different schools on different days depending. They will get plenty of work but wages are **** and no holiday pay, no pay during the holidays, no sick pay. There are LOTs.

As I said earlier, basically zero hour contracts.

A few schools like ours are honouring their pay...for the short term which will then be reviewed after a 2/3 months. But plenty of others aren't sadly.

These will be the forgotten many. And there'll be plenty in other businesses as well.

For how understaffed and underfunded it is it's extremely impressive how quickly some things are being organised/implemented.

Quite heartwarming too seeing how well different people/departments are pulling together to get things done so quickly.
