GoM is saying that the loan is still showing on the charge sheet, so hasn't been paid back at all. I do get the impression that he knows more than he lets on like

He only posts what he trusts to be correct and has absolutely no interest in impressing anyone. I'm posting less about it now because I'd just be repeating myself, I just wait for info these days and no longer ask for it.

After the 'Bob bombshell' I asked if it was true and received a very short 'no change!' ...

... it's the first time I've received an exclamation mark so I won't be making that mistake again <laugh>

The charge is still there, I think he's either exaggerating what has happened and that Donald might have said he intended to do it, or Companies House has not updated yet.

You'd usually expect that to show within a week, albeit I will give him one small benefit of the doubt because I doubt HMRC or any other public sector work is being done at 100% right now. It's still a long delay even if that's the case.

Just got back from the Lakes.

@Bob Cheval I appreciate your position, but I still very much can't jump to the conclusion that we'll have anyone new in place by mid April unless it was agreed before this began to impact football. I doubt that has happened because Donald would be desperate to publicise it and make sure the new owner couldn't wrangle their way out.

I think depending on how quickly the country locks down, we're likely looking at 9 months or even longer before there is any chance of someone actively buying us. Donald will have to take whatever relief is available, but I think because of the unusual situation, this isn't as simple as him 'running out of cash'. There will be mitigation available and the chance to avoid quite substantial costs while the shutdown continues (eg: almost all of our player contracts will basically go out of the window in July).

Anyway, like I said, until we know what happens next in football as a whole, the chances of someone buying us are incredibly, incredibly low.

They’re having their challenges like we all are but operationally they’re trying to carry on as normal. If nowt has been updated in two weeks nowt has changed. At a strategic level they’re bobbing and weaving with the best of them. HMRC that is.
