There was one woman down there and I don't think she'd ever heard of social distancing and she had a gob on her to match, you could clearly hear the convo's with her hubby, that they were stockpiling. I had to walk away before my mouth started running away with me.

Personally I’m stocking up on Chinese food. Too risky to be eating Italian food right now.

Sounds like every country is horrified by our approach to this. Experts though.

Yes, we’re one of the few countries not taking it seriously.

Not really mate, their supermarket shelves are fully stocked and nobody is raiding the bog roll or pasta aisles.

    And that includes Italy!

SA have to take it very seriously. If it gets into the townships it could decimate communities.

I actually think what this country has done has been quite measured. Everything ultimately revolves around how much impact there is on healthcare. They lock us up before it’s at breaking point then we all come out after, catch it and **** it up. Every decision in my view is to ensure only a certain amount get it at any point so small steps to slow the infection rate makes sense to me. I’m just avoiding people as much as possible and when out being careful with washing and sanitising.

only people that seem not to be taking this seriously is you d folk as they are least likely to die though they could spread it an lead to elderly being infected.

    Of course.

We're not South Africa though so why the comparison with our reaction to it?

    I didn’t make a comparison.

I think the other European countries are a better comparison.

    Exactly.

It'll run its course, it's about managing the peak.

Just because one country has done one thing, doesn't mean we have to follow suit. There is no exact science other than ultimately it'll spread.

How extensively is what we are trying to manage.

I don't believe hiding school children behind doors and all stopping work is the way to go myself but each country to its own.
