Here are the notes from the THST meeting...

https://www.thstofficial.com/thst-news/thst-meeting-with-the-spurs-board-report

So, absolutely no change. It's long term planning and financial prudence as the watchwords and Daniel Levy "takes lots of criticism and has broad shoulders, and needs to have in his position."

For those expecting Levy to let loose the purse strings, "(transfer) funds were ring-fenced for the summer, however not qualifying for Champions League would have an impact all round."

Hmmmmm. I sense troubled waters ahead.

Will they get people turning up to watch NFL? Personally I can't stand the game. The pre game stuff is interesting until some fool blows a whistle and starts the "game" until it stops 10 seconds later!!!!
Wembley tends to be packed with ExPats and tourists for the annual games played there (including last years, which were sponsored by Aero Mexico...which I love pointing out) - however the obvious point is that, even if we technically have a captive market, we shouldn't push for more than 2-3 games a season because if the novelty wears off the attendances will drop

So realistically we should count our blessings that Shad Khan doesn't just want to revamp the Jaguars' stadium but all of downtown Jacksonville around it, because if the plans to relocate the Jaguars to London did come to fruition that's the most likely way to wear off the novelty quick

Bigger crowds than football...and not just around the waistline.

There's no segregation, so it's the full 62,000. Plenty of Americans but lots of Brits, who presumably also drink Budweiser and eat MacDonalds and enjoy them too.

Oh I drink Bud too but the cold beer and icy glass are getting to my tummy. The Guiness isn't too bad though.....and I like a cold Madelo with a warm glass!
My wife (American) has a Mac Donald's for breakfast. She's all messed up. Sleeps all day and up all night. One good thing. No arguments if she's not there!!!!?

I've just been on the Ticket Exchange for the United game. There are sooooo many tickets available for a big game that it's like being back at Wembley again. The atmosphere might be as flat as well...prices are NOT the same....yet.

Today I saw this on another site and it wasn't me or any mate or family member...

"Say what you like about Mourinho but he’s achieved something no Spurs manager has achieved in over 20 years. He’s made me send my ticket back. I can take failure, I can’t accept surrender."

He's not alone and wasn't like this a few weeks ago...

My Lord. All the southern United fans will fill the ground! Waterloo Station will be swamped.....

My Lord. All the southern United fans will fill the ground! Waterloo Station will be swamped.....

I'm a South Londoner these days, so will expect to see plenty of United fans on my way there. I hope that there aren't too many outside the away fans area but it's unlikely to be the case.

I was at both United games at Wembley, If someone had told me then, that I'd be disinterested in going to this season's match, I'd have thought them insane...but that's where I am. I'm disinterested. Not entirely put off but...disinterested.

I'm going because I've got a ticket and because the players have been playing with some heart, despite there being no sign of form or tactics likely to win a game. Now is when we need the crowd to try to lift the current level and I've no desire to see huge numbers of empty seats. So let's try and drive this team on.....

Coooooooomme
Ooooooooonnnnn
Yooooooouuuuuu
Spuuuuuuurrrssss

I see your point,Brian. Fans ARE disinterested.Nothing to play for.Out of all tournaments. Not much chance of CL unless a miracle happens.Probably no EC either.
…..and now the Corona-Virus as a finale.

Very likely the PL will be suspended....but then our injured players might get a chance to repair themselves before the PL restarts(?).

For Spurs this could be a blessing in disguise as it means Kane and Son and possibly Sissoko will have a chance of taking a bigger part in the remains of the season
We've played **** all in March either, though...
If we have to have a time when football is postponed then this is as good for Spurs as it could be.

Anyone know if Training will continue, or are they all staying away from the club during the hiatus?

Clubs have been advised to suspend non-essential activities. Whether training meets that criteria or not remains to be seen.

Looks like Liverpool have answered their part of that question.

It’ll probably vary club to club depending on who at the clubs has been diagnosed and the various levels of risk of exposure.

Knowing our luck we’ll pile in there on Monday to train and **** the whole thing up.
