And you know I voted Tory because?

Probably it's because you defended your corner in a blind faith manner........like I said I didn't mention Corbyn that was you.....and I don't think a Labour supporter could ever defend a mess of prime minister talking out of his arse.

Possibly as we are on an island, but the truth is we don't know how this will all pan out.

We're not reacting any quicker or slower than the majority of European countries as far as I'm aware? I don't see a solution from anyone.
The Irish have been more decisive. I think we should have followed their lead and closed the schools.

Evidence is creeping out that this virus is engineered. Originally came from bats but has been engineered. It’s no coincidence that China has a bio weapon facility in Wuhan. Apparently there was up until recently an advert for a job there working in engineering the virus.

Shhhhh that's conspiracy we don't go there even if it is the truth in the future.

so does it not only contractors who only have one client any more?

They would be prime ... but the risks lie firmly with the companies contracting them ... with a maximum penalty of 100% of the payroll taxes that would also be due if HMRC consider the role is actually that of an employee

We got accused of panicking today by an English colleague from our English office, had to explain to him it's s delay tactic not panic!

I don’t agree tbh. Children are shown already to be the least affected group with this particular virus, and the disruption caused by closing schools and thus meaning people will miss work due to childcare requirements is a worse choice. Particularly given how many of those parents will be working in the NHS and care industries.

Spot on <ok>

Anyway, with time on my hands at the mo, I have sort of researched this disease likened to the triffids.. The 2 types of cells it attacks initially are the Goblet and Cilliated cells, let me explain, the goblet cells produce the clear mucus that lines the inside of the lungs and keeps them moist, the Cilliated cells are hairy cells that push up foreign bodies and mucus up to the throat to be spat out or swallowed, remember your stomach is one big acid pit. The Covid-19 attacks those cells and cripples them, leaving dry lungs and no ability to bring up any of the virus mucus which then eventually blocks up the inner airwaves, the results aren't good... It transmits through the skin, no airborne cases yet but it could evolve, kids can catch it as they have the recipient cells but it hasn't been know to attack their system yet. They can carry it though and pass the virus to others..<ok>

Pays to take time out and research up to date stuff..

I think we need
Stop large public gatherings for two weeks for a start and see where we are then. I doubt we have the capacity in our health service to cope with many of the 9% or so of sufferers who aren’t destined to die but will need medical attention urgently to avoid doing so.
I think they should be building temporary hospitals now !
Stop the large gatherings !
Industry has to keep going !

I get kids are not at major risk.... But does that also mean they cannot catch it at school then spread it to the older generation when out of school ........seems they left had doesn't know what the right hand is doing really.

Nip it in the bud is my take......take no risks

There’s no point restricting public gatherings while kids are still going to school. There are 1200 kids at my son’s school.

If they’re not exhibiting symptoms and so not coughing and making the virus airborne then their ability to transfer the virus would be much smaller than an affected adult.

I therefore don’t see how closing schools should be a priority, it should only come if we’re going into complete lockdown across the spectrum imho.

Would 2 weeks be enough, I would think 4-5 weeks would be better
