He’s repeating the same mistakes week in, week out. He doesn't accept he’s made mistakes, he blames others for the poor performances. He has stated openly he has no intention of changing anything, he actually believes what he does works.

Odd, to some Billy Whitehurst is a folk hero for his matchday drinking habits, to some Bullard was a **** for his drinking habits. In major part Bullard's City career was ended not by alcohol, but by a hospital pass from his own colleague.

I don't believe in booing players whilst they're in the service of the club and I don't believe in calling for the sacking of a manager after a relatively short period of bad performance, where there are a huge number of other factors in play. It indulges the orgy of negativity, short termism and propagates it further.
Figures posted today on another thread show that the club is a complete anomaly regarding its size, Income, profit created and current league position. The manager situation is the equivalent of complaining about the quality of the mastiking in the bathroom, whilst the house is burning down.
I think we're reaching a tipping point where the consensus amongst the majority of even moderate fans can only see the writing on the wall for Mccann.
That wasn't there for the likes of Bruce, Adkins and the like.
If you look around football at other managers who have been sacked following a bad run, then 2 points in 11 games is relatively generous. Nearly a quarter of a season without a win and a lot of drubbings isn't a short period in football terms.
Surely you should still try to limit the damage though, or do you stand and watch the house burn without calling the fire brigade?
I agree McCann has been dealt a **** hand but you can play a **** hand well or you can play it badly, and he's playing it badly. Just because there are other issues at the club doesn't mean he has no responsibility for his own performance, and the club should simply accept the fate of playing in league 1 next season.

The house is burning down. The manager is adding fuel to the fire as opposed to pissing on the flames.
You seem to think he's a possible saviour based on miserable results. At least a month ago,well a week before the end of the window, McCann should have been demanding money from the owners to bring in quality. He chose not to, or was rejected & continued to serve up negative performances by the team his is managing.
At what point do you think he should be let go ? When we're in 22 nd place in the National League North ? That appears to be the trajectory !
Any player of value is being sold off. This is going to continue whilst the club is being run as it is. Thus, the team has to reach an equilibrium where it can survive on promoted academy players and more experienced, low salary pros. This equilibrium is most likely to be reached around the relegation zone of the Championship or in League One, as with the other clubs with the equivalent level of income and investment. It is the natural fate due to how the business has been run down. Screaming for Grant Mccann's head or calling him a clown is just going to increase the negativity and diminish the atmosphere further. It's the wrong direction to take. There has to be a mature acceptance of the situation the club is in and what factors are at play as a whole. Focusing on the right now is pointless as it will be the same every season of survival, whereas a rebuild has to be done l.
I don't doubt a rebuild is required, I'd just rather do it with Championship income than with an even more restricted budget and an intransigent manager in league 1.

How about attempting to aim for an "equilibrium" final position of 21st in the Chmpionship this eason ? With the playing staff we have (no choice)?
There's one variable that could be changed - a new manager. I never like to see anyone fired (sacked), but there are usually contractual fine print safety nets for the employee. With a little ingenuity by the owners, investment in a proven manager (assuming there's one available and willing to come - inducement would help) it could be possible.
Further invertment for the following season that would give us a chance to gain promotion - or stabilize at a higher equilibrium point) - plus the potential income of "being there", they may get their original investment (plus dividends etc) back to garner an acceptable 12 (?) 15 year return. When happy - sell the club.
From what I've seen of McCann - I watch all games on TigerTV - I don't think he has enough to manage at our current level. He's had a millstone (lack of investment in quality) around his neck, but nevertheless - given his intransigence, I can't see has any potential for improving either.

Although you make some valid points about equilibrium you continue to completely ignore McCann's own performance as a manager - it's there right in front of our eyes for all to see. And the bad performances were happening in late 2019, but were papered over by various things, including to a large part Bowen and Grosicki. He has to take responsibility for his own actions and the owners have a responsibility to manage a football club properly (yeah yeah I know) so a change is needed or we'll be playing in League 1 in August. The Allams have sacked a manager or two before - what the **** are they waiting for this time? Waiting whilst hopefully agreeing a short term deal with Warnock or Pulis - I would prefer Warnock. But sacking him and putting say Dawson and Pennock in charge on a caretaker basis is the least they should be doing right now. It's ****ing frustrating.

We all can see what the problem is, and even though the players individually are mostly not good enough even for the championship, it's McCann's job to then mould them into a unit that performs. We all know the hardest skill is to score goals, and these players are not good enough individually or collectively to score a lot of goals, so the best way and IMO and the only way is to build a unit that is hard to beat. That is easier than trying to attack your way out of a problem with poor players.
Bowen and Turbo effectively papered over the cracks in a side not good enough, and coupled with a manager that is stubborn enough not to change when things are going wrong is a cocktail for disaster.

You are obviously much more familiar with our Norse god contributor than me, but I'm not sure what being a Doctor's son has to do with it. Anyway I hope I read something more positive coming out of the club tomorrow, you know, McCann sacked and thanked for his contributions to the club etc etc.
