Agree. Just common for people to lay into goalkeepers who concede at the near post regardless of how good the shot was. Pickford made a great save earlier.

Billy Gilmour is such an outstanding talent. He’s going to be world class.

 

can't balme him for that, but he makes far too many errors to be an England keeper, but still will be.

 

I’d agree that Pope is a better shot stopper but Southgate wants his goalkeepers to play a bit too. We don’t have any other goalkeeper that comes close to Pickford’s distribution.

 

He’s not very good at keeping the goal though.
