Mourinho has spoken about the players being exhausted, and with very few options to rest them.

I find it incredible that anyone can truly believe that we can keep playing the same players, with limited options, and no viable strike force, and expect to get anything out of the toughest league in world football. It betrays an astonishing naivety.

Jose has no option but to rotate players and play some out of position. That is inevitably going to lead to below par performances.

The negligent thing for him to do would be to play his strongest available options, every single game, until we have so many injuries that we cannot field a team.

That is the logical conclusion to what some of you are suggesting, when you make your ill thought out criticisms of Mourinho.

Might as well put a centre half up front and lump balls up to him ,this clearly isn't working jose needs to sort this out and quick its embarrassing

And he was rightly sacked

So the players are untouchable?

probably are tbh but you should know as a fan that some of these players are not good enough to take us where we want to be having watched the majority for about 7 years now

so why change another manager?

Levy needs to back his managers...that’s the real answer

wether it happens or not does not change the problem

Moss keeping up his excellent standard of refereeing

Well it was a crap performance, but they only actually scored one goal and that one could easily have been chalked off for handball in the build up. The ref also clearly has a different interpretation on what constitutes an illegal tackle depending on which team is making them. So despite the disparity in performances, we are still in this match (famous last words).

Most of the current players will still be here next season, whether that's the right thing or not. Someone has to get better performances out of them next season.

We need to employ a manager whose head hasn't gone and who will use a tactical set-up that suits the players we have, rather than ones that the manager would like them to be.

It's the same with Levy. He's not going to disappear,so Mourinho either works with him to get more of what he wants or he can leave and let someone else get on with it. Sulking and squealing to the press is ****ing pointless and demotivating to everyone with the club at heart.

Maybe but I think it’s always important to remember and mention Levy's role in things because he’s not right, just because he can’t be sacked shouldn’t excuse him from blame.

Say it often enough and you never know what bandwagon it might get rolling someday. Saying nothing is just asking for it year after year decade after decade.

im not up for another 5 year project when we know full well Levy ****s his pants when it comes to doing his bit

We were outplayed we have to hang on until the last half an hour when Burnley will inevitably slow.

The other factor which the commentators didn't mention until the half hour mark was that we were playing into a strong wind. You cannot ignore that so lets see what happens in the second half if the wind carries on and it's with us.

Exactly.

We need to write off this season, with as few injuries as possible, and let Mourinho regroup over the close season.

If we see the same pattern of performances, I will be the first to criticize him.

Until then, I think the criticism is premature and unjustified.

I wasn’t expecting us to be playing sexy football. I was expecting him to stop the free fall we were witnessing under Poch. He did that...I’m not expecting him to turn Poch’s squad into something more than Poch himself managed. I also don’t feel entitled to be watching the sexy silky free flowing utopian football or anything else tbh because I have accepted what **** state the squad is in and I’m all for different styles of football..I want to win

so with all that in mind and how he has us with a fighting chance of top 4 still..I’d say he’s done fine...next season with a pre season under his belt I’ll judge him differently. However that judgement will depend on how much Levy backs him.

I’m not prepared to throw the manager under the bus after 4 months...it’s just silly

No I’m not saying that, but it’s not easy to move on players (especially ones that earn good money at Spurs). From a manager I expect them to get the best from the players, Poch wasn’t doing that in the last 9 months his tenure and Jose hasn’t shown that he is able to do it either.

Knowing our luck, the bastard wind will change direction.

I fully expect to see Dier lose his ****, if that happens.

Aye.
Give Mourinho a fortune to splurge on his usual crap in summer then wait for the inevitable sacking before Christmas.
