@humanbeingincroydon and @"Thanks for that Brian" Hope you get on the mend soon...sciatica is an absolute ****
@humanbeingincroydon and @"Thanks for that Brian"- All that going on and supporting Spurs at this time as well! I wish you both well and hope that you can all get sorted out soon - The NHS does wonderful things, my experiences were not flawless but I wouldn't criticise anyone in that organisation I am sure you will get the help and care that you both need. Now lets hope the mighty Spurs can lift all our spirits tonight
Apologies to the colourblind, but the "Ndombele is lazy" Narrative really does need to be smashed to smithereens please log in to view this image The quick headlines * Third most tackles in the team, behind Aurier and Lo Celso * Fifth best tackle completion behind Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Aurier and Sanchez * Most blocked passes of the entire team * Fourth most interceptions behind Aurier, Vertonghen and Winks * Most successful dribbles * Third best dribble percentage, behind Dier (weirdly) and Sanchez Yes, there's clearly things that need to be worked on - he's dispossessed too often and his failed dribble numbers certainly need to come down considering his role in the team - he gets beaten by his man far too often, which is a trait he shares with Winks and Sissoko - his numbers for blocked shots are certainly too low, which is another trait shared with Winks and Sissoko - his numbers for clearances definitely are a problem, as either he's not dropping back to mop up or is trying to dribble out of trouble - his not winning much in the air means opponents have an easy way to bypass him The obvious question that has to be asked, however, is what role will he actually have going forward? It needs asking as Lo Celso is adapting to the Dembele role far better than Ndombele has, which is problematic as GLC was supposed to be in the Eriksen role while Ndombele was supposed to be the Ndombele, and that means we may have to remold Ndombele into the midfield metronome - but to do that the defensive side of his game clearly needs improvement, both in terms of closing down opponents and working on the aerial side of his game as both are ways opponents can bypass him at present and we need someone to step up and improve in that regard as Ndombele, Winks and Sissoko are a large part of why our centre is so weak
I went into hospital in Lex Ky in 84 for observation on a strained back. In my hospital room and my gown I got up to use the toilet. As I came out,my back "went" and as I fell my wife caught me. Ruptured disc! Surgery, then convalescence. I was told not to ever lift heavy weights (joking of course!) and do not run! I'd run all my life....man that was a hard one. Gives me a little trouble from time to time when I have to lift something, but that doctor did a good job. So best wishes with you, young man!!!!! Lord! the players are injured, the fans are injured. What else?
Cheers mate! It's appreciated. I'm at St George's under Professor Papadopoulos. That's not easy to say when your not anaesthetised, let alone when you are. I like him though. Five years ago he did my first spinal surgery. It was done on a Saturday and he was wearing a Hawaiian shirt and leather jacket. I was wearing a surgical gown which showed off my arse to very good effect. A few months later, after a bike accident, he saw me and said..."I fixed you..." It's nice to be remembered.
Oh.A cardiologist told me he wanted to put a pacemaker in me.He said you can have it done now or later when you fall over and break your hip.We can do both, then! I do have a pace maker...and it's not called Jerry!!!
