Get a decent sized olive tree and repot it in the biggest pot you can find, it’ll be sound for years.Need dog friendly and no flowers.

I had a mate who had strawberry plants growing out of every crevice. Spread under concrete paths to different parts of the garden and everything![]()
I’m going for a herb garden this year, decided it’d be nice to use my own rather than shop bought. Various stages of planting from now through to May. Using small-ish pots as no proper garden space or planters available.
The main problem I have - I live in a penthouse (yeah I’m that kind of prick). So I’m having to grow on the balcony and the wind gets insane sometimes, I’m fully expecting to lose the whole lot at some point.
I’ve gone for all the usual suspects, but any odd varieties anyone could recommend are worth growing?
Everything. Rosemary is the herb of the devil. Not joking but Rosemary. It's evergreen, lovely looking plant, comes in all sorts of coloured blossoms, and you can use it in cooking. What's not to like.

to be pedantic that will no longer be a garden but instead will be a yard or if you going for pretentious twat it will be a courtyard .I'm having my garden done in about a months time. It'll be all slabs but want some pot plants, quite tall plants but I've no idea what is easy to look after?
