Nice, they're about a tenner a foot. Might get two for my front drive. Cba to water petunias any more.
Neighbour says black bamboo plants. There are lots of different types apparently... bit pricey though. These aint his, had to google image... please log in to view this image
Get a decent sized olive tree and repot it in the biggest pot you can find, it’ll be sound for years.
Spread like fck? I had a mate who had strawberry plants growing out of every crevice. Spread under concrete paths to different parts of the garden and everything
Bamboo is an absolute ****er, never plant it openly in your garden because if you decide you want to get rid of it you’ll be bringing a digger in to tear the horrible stuff out!
I’m going for a herb garden this year, decided it’d be nice to use my own rather than shop bought. Various stages of planting from now through to May. Using small-ish pots as no proper garden space or planters available. The main problem I have - I live in a penthouse (yeah I’m that kind of prick). So I’m having to grow on the balcony and the wind gets insane sometimes, I’m fully expecting to lose the whole lot at some point. I’ve gone for all the usual suspects, but any odd varieties anyone could recommend are worth growing?
Get some Japanese knotweed. Leaves turn a beautiful bronze colour in autumn. It won't spread or cause any damage (unlike mint) so no need to keep it in a pot
Not joking but Rosemary. It's evergreen, lovely looking plant, comes in all sorts of coloured blossoms, and you can use it in cooking. What's not to like.
to be pedantic that will no longer be a garden but instead will be a yard or if you going for pretentious twat it will be a courtyard . Just saying .
