So who's fault is that ? Shouldn't the British government be fighting our corner in all this ? Why couldn't the government stop paying in if they feel we are being ripped off ?
It’s not a separate payment into a separate fund, the Disaster Fund comes from a central allocation.

The problem is that many Remainers appear to be blind to any problems with the EU, even accusing Brexit supporters of making up stories as our ‘visitor’ alleged.

For me, I’d happily remain in a Common Market - which is what was voted for in 1975 (I worked in an election station - I was 17 so couldn’t vote).

The flooding up in North Yorkshire is really bad, the videos and pictures I have looked at, with water up to the ground floor ceilings is devastating, many are on their 3rd flood in a few years, the issues for property ownership are tragic, because insurance companies are no longer covering the damage, so not only are they having to foot the bill themselves, but they are trapped in this repetitive cycle, with property values shot, and unable to sell, waiting for the next flood damage, whatever local authorities do, they must start to seriously begin engineering plans to alleviate the issues.........<ok>

It might help a little if the corrupt local planning officers weren't so quick to consent to planning applications submitted by developers to build on known flood plains , Birchgrove a case in point . There's plenty of brown field sites still available

Thanks!

I did back 5 years ago, it took me months to understand all the issues with Leukaemia, researching through all the medical trials and papers, meetings with different charities and then complicated discussions with consultants, some very good, some obstructive, but my breakthrough came when after a heavy discussion with specialist in Southampton hospital who put me in touch with Professor ***on at Cardiff university hospital, the guy was nothing short of brilliant, we got the respect from then on, and have had marvelous treatment to date.

The technologies now coming through are excellent, and bring much hope and relief, this time round not so much an issue as I fully understand the complicated disease.......<ok>
