I went car shopping today..I know what i want.

One, great great car..Pokey garage..

The other....Much better car, way priced..

Both tried the patter...But in both cases cases, 'ta daft ****, iv'e seen better'

Car salesman are bad but it's the scale of the fckwittery with estate agents that puts them way ahead. Before the sale, during the sale and after the sale, the amount of underhand tactics they use is awful. The Scottish system is marginally better - at least once a sale is agreed it's less likely you'll get fcked over.

We only have 3 cases here and we are blaming it all on one Japanese guy.

Surgical masks (or disposable hijabs as they call them here) have been sold out everywhere for weeks.

Anyway back to tele-sales people I don't want to appear Stan-level stalkerish but isn't that what @luvgonzo does for a living?

He strikes me as the sort of guy who you could have a really good chat with, about all sorts of ****, and then end up buying one of those ****ty razors that he conned @Skylarker or @Spurlock into buying.

Its a lot worse here as noone follows any data privacy laws so Credit Card Companies sell your contact data to marketing agencies. They even have guys who go round conferences and exhibitions collecting business cards so that they can add you to mailing lists. When they call I always ask them in fluent Indonesian if they speak English and when they say no, respond, again in fluent Indonesian, that I don't speak Indonesian, and they never call again.

In my job I have to sell things to people but its mostly things that they know they want so its not too difficult.
