Wish I’d followed you John, I’ve been in Perth since 6/2 and not missed a game. I’ve been getting up at stupid-o-clock for the night games so my sleep pattern is completely screwed, and obviously I’ve not seen a win.

Last nights performance was absolutely dire yet McCann comes across in his post match interviews as not having a clue how to halt the slide, he could make a decent start by dropping and taking the armband off a totally ineffective Irvine, put Batty, Samuelsen or any ****er on in his place and give the armband to Stewart if Jordy is going to be out injured.

To me for him not to see how ineffective Irvine has been is a crime, he’s the manager so surely he should spot these things, but as you rightly say he appears to be sleep walking to relegation.

Roll our sleeves up? If that’s the best you can offer McCann you need to go today!!!

I admire your commitment LBIA, pity the same can't be said of the City players.

So, having had time to have a sleep and reflect, still feel the same, piss poor, abysmal performance, sitting back from the start against a team at the bottom, at home, is unacceptable. Barnsley were knocking the ball around confidently, looking like world beaters giving us a lesson, stats embarrassing. I get the **** injuries situation McCann has had to deal with, but these performances are down to him. The players are clearly not responding to what he is asking them to do, not listening or need different coaching? No motivation, no leadership, no idea on or off the pitch.

Whilst Long is not solely responsible for this loss, we definitely lost as a team, we had two clearances off the line, even he is now looking punch drunk, loss of confidence, and sadly seems to have a mistake in him every game. Time to take him out of the firing line?

Finally, have to say Kev Stewart's interview, an honest assessment, brave enough to question the tactical set up. Time for McCann to go now, any new manager would still have the same tools to deal with, but I'm sure could get a new tune out of them. It's difficult to not fear the worst for Saturday.

In past seasons when we've hit a slump we could look and think 'The players we've got are better than this and wins will come'.This season and especially after the loss of Bowen and Grosicki,I'm struggling to see how!! Our current playing squad is absolutely dire and yes, injuries are playing a part in unsettling any fluidity but McCann has brought in and has at his disposal a group of players who simply aren't up to the job.On current form and based on players on the pitch we have absolutely no chance on Saturday,a result that could see us slip even closer to the bottom 3 and one which may decide the future of Grant McCann.....
7 months into the season and I believe last nights team only had one player who's scored more than twice!!!!! Combine that with a leaky defence and it's looking ominous

I think If McCann isnt sacked today the Allams clearly dont care if we go down. They gave both Phelan & Slutsky less time to prove themselves, if any other manager went this amount of time without a win they'd be gone.

Is this their final dig at us fans? Stepping back and watching the car crash unfold. Have they accepted no one will come forward and pay the asking price which means the only way of getting their money back is to strip the club, player by player, season by season until they get as much as possible before leaving us in a worse state than they found us.

Time will tell but its not looking good.

He gave the ****ing ball away that led to the goal with a pathetic effort
Why stewart was bollocking him.
I doubt he wAs injured he was just lazy and if he is injured it’s a psychological problem Cos he didn’t take a hit or anything
Yes he’s talented but the effort want there

He did take a 'hit'. Near their by-line. Came hobbling back and was hobbling for a couple of minutes. No idea if that's why he was subbed at HT though.

When does the time come for the manager to man up and say this isn't working and hand in his resignation? or does he just plough on regardless until he is sacked?
The current situation does not look good for him or the club.

Noticed on a couple of Occasions , things got quite heated between McCann and Cliff Byrne.
Good. That indicates there's still some passion. Terry's like Capt Smith on the bridge of the Titanic. He relied on the owners to make an unsinkable vessel, but he got short changed so the plunge to the depths can't be avoided.

Get in there faces and lump it.

Says it all tbh ... talks about picking a team to show fight to battle and to perform then leaves the likes of Batty on the bench .. fkn clueless and just spouting what people want to hear. I for one dont believe he has what it takes .. you could see the separation between manager and team last night and even between him and Byrne .. I just dont think the players are behind his tactics and now I suspect divisions are appearing between him and his coaching staff. He talked about playing different formations in most games through the season and yet everyone has seen he is so rigid. The group he has at his disposal are better then they are showing right now .. not world beaters by any stretch but certain mich more capable of performing better then thay are right now but the formation has to be right for what he has at his disposal. The players need to know their roles but they seem lost and that is down to confusion because the game plan is not clear.

Oh god that was awful, their heads have gone. Jackson has lost any ability he once had. Even Long looks like he’s lost his confidence.

Trying to grasp straws, Samuelson looks as if there is a player in there. Batty had a good warm up at half time. Er.... we’ve not had any sendings off for a while?

I can’t stand Colin and hate the football he gets his team to play but I’d take him in a heartbeat because he’s what we need right now. We’ve only out of the relegation zone because we had a good run in November, since then our form has been dreadful, only Boro is worse.

We’re in for a mauling on Saturday and I think the fans will turn on McGann, sadly. It’s looking like he’s already lost the players.

I'd picked up on something similar a few weeks ago, but in a v negative way, if you look back at our run of losses over the past 2 months, we have barely picked up any bookings at all....even last night, must win game, 33% possession and we only picked up 1 booking? Where's the bite? Where's the passion? Where are tactical fouls, taking a yellow to stop teams pouring through us, it's pathetic.

I’d be looking for any unattached players we can sign that can add some bite in midfield. Even a league one journeyman that can add a bit of bite. We pretty much have a team of fannies that roll over. We need some to get stuck in and start ruffling feathers.

Well if McCann & Byrne are having a spat publicly, things are really bad - that sounds like curtains to the partnership and exit stage left for both.

Think thats only half the story tbf
You really think that's only half the story? You really think we would have been in this position without selling our two best players and the injuries. I don't think we would have been near the top 6 but I'm sure we wouldn't be in the mess we are in. Supported the club over 50 years and can never remember an injury run like this. Of course, the management/training might be responsible for some of them but he has been incredibly unlucky on that front.

4-4-2 won't work

Most teams like Barnsley last night played 3 at the back when they had the ball and overloaded midfield, 5 to our 4. Given Terry used to be a midfielder he doesn't seem to want to go 3 at the back that often and match up with 5 in midfield which has happened recently.

That said Terry was doing ok until the turn of the year, and although injuries have hit, he appears to be thinking if it isn't broken don't fix it...well it's well and truly broken now and Terry seems devoid of solutions, even with his subs in recent games.

I also recollect that he has stated on more than one occasion he likes to see a high tempo game, well last night all the tempo came from Barnsley!

If we get beat and we have given it a fair crack of the whip, I can take that, but last night for 90% of the match we were abject
