Any Insurance contracts liability, are between Cardiff the policy holder, and the underwriters, and that is where it ends, If Cardiff had insured Sala with death benefits, then it will be the underwriters who determine if they are liable, given the criminal and negligent behaviour of his Bankrupt agent there may well be grounds for the insurance not to pay out, as you know Insurance companies do not need much to decline a claim, not looking good for you at all.


I still maintain you will have to suck this one up...........<ok>

You are missing the point Phil on several accounts.

1) The club would only be indemnified by their insurers if Sala was legally a Cardiff player.

2) The "bankrupt agent" to whom you refer was engaged and employed by Nantes to find a buyer for the player - NOT by CCFC.

3) The FIFA ruling refers to contractual matters only and ignores the legalities. CAS has the power to legally enforce their decision once all the circumstances that FIFA chose to ignore are heard.

Something that critics of the club seem to want to ignore is evidenced by this latest news.

It's as well to remember that in all this furore over the tragedy, it was Cardiff who wanted the player - Nantes just wanted the money.

Using Mckay again to tout around another of their players in the hunt for cash is not just illegal, it's a down right condemnation of their unprincipled approach. For all their outpourings of grief over Sala, their players are seen as cash cows auctioned through a dubious character (parasite).

Let's get real here - this whole affair was sordid from the beginning to which we were party, and only when the tragedy occurred did it all unfold. For Nantes to claim the high ground and to be the injured party is a travesty of the truth.

If we are guilty of anything, it is being naive.

Hindsight is the only perfect science but we should never have got involved with McKay, and his family, scumbags of the highest order.

I'm shocked at the extent to which Nantes appear implicated in this. Looks like they also have morals lower than a snakes' belly.

I dont think we are unblemished by the events of 12 months ago, but Nantes ongoing actions demonstrate their lack of innocence.
It still remains that one, probably 2, people died as a result of some dodgy dealing somewhere.
