Perhaps l have this wrong; but in the very recent past we have 'lost' Gallagher, Kayal, and the Welsh bloke with the beard, At the time of writing we have acquired McGeady, Matt Smith, and Andre Green Therefore, we are the same as we were prior to the window opening in numbers, some would justifiably argue we are down in terms of quality ie the likes of Gallagher. The aforementioned 3 all being loans.

Therefore, in real money terms we have paid out next to nothing; how is that progressive, how does it move the club forward in the hope that we avoid the drop? Answers (and questions) on a post card to our esteemed Chairman......

Don't think I've ever agreed with you as much as I agree with this <ok> <ok> <ok>

@chaperonek9

Credible reports from Sunderland today state that McGeady is on £31k a week up there, and we are now paying £10k of it. So that deal has cost ESI circa £200,000 in wages. You would assume that young Matt Smith is on less than half of that, so say £80,000 in wages, and Andre Green somewhere in between at Villa, so being generous ESI have spent £400,000 in wages for loans in January. That’s before you subtract the savings for Leko, Gallagher & Kayal.

So in reality, I reckon ESI have spent no more than £250,000 so far in this window.

i think they had grand ideas before they bought the club. £50m upfront, another £50m on infrastructure and players and hey presto, premier league.

now they've got the keys, the ex agent in MS is now thinking he can do it on the cheap using his wit and charm. freebies and loans will be it for the next few years till they realise loan players do not add value to the club. we might find good ones, but it only ever profits some other club.

And did not get a comp.

You MUST be signing at least 2 more.
Makes no sense that he only got 4 hours sleep last night if this is the only incomings.

If all those tweets last night and this morning were to build you up into a frenzy over these two, it suggests he knows fook all about football and fan expectations.

Marquee signing imminent <cheers>

We're signing up a marquee (on loan), and putting it up in the car park, available for a small fee for functions.

Somehow get the feeling they have paid fook all up front.
Southall has sold the idea to the Arab, who might or might not invest depending on how it goes in next 6 months.
Roland got what he wanted (rid of the day to day expenditure) but keeps the assets - he must be laughing his socks off!!!

I might be entirely wrong of course, but that's how I see this panning out!!!
