Sadio Mane fitness latest

Sadio Mane is set to miss Liverpool’s trip to West Ham United on Wednesday evening, Jürgen Klopp has confirmed.

The forward sustained a muscle issue during the Reds’ win at Wolverhampton Wanderers last Thursday night.

Klopp revealed the issue isn’t a serious one; however, it will rule him out of the clash at the London Stadium and possible Saturday’s Anfield meeting with Southampton.

“Sadio will not be involved for West Ham and probably not for Southampton,” said the manager. “After that he should be then fine.

“The week we have then after that is for him perfect to get back on track.

“He has a small muscle tear, which is serious enough to keep him out. We were lucky with the injury as well, so it was not that serious.

“But of course, when you have three games in a week then that means he is out for these three games.”

Games Mane is likely to miss.
1. 29/01 West Ham A
2.1/2/01 Southampton H
#3.4/02 FA Cup Shrewsbury??. H
4.15/2 Norwich A
I think Mane is going to be fit for Norwich's game

I wonder why klopp have not asked sick notes like Xherdan Shaqiri to put in extra shift for the FA cup. He is being paid for doing nothing.<laugh>

I have a suspicion that Shaq is injured the same way that Pogba is injured. He never features even when in the squad.

Either that or he is injured in the same way that Clyne is injured.:emoticon-0176-smoke

I’m heading to this game :emoticon-0169-dance let’s hope we get a better result there than last year. Am very cautious atm, it was this time last year that we had a few blips.

Referee is Jomathan Moss

Away fans’ pubs: General advice is to either drink in the stadium, the Westfield shopping centre or in central London itself.

But if you’re arriving via the train station the walk to the stadium will take up to 20 minutes.
