Ward is certainly not the answer. He was having a mare by all accounts until he went off injured. At best he is an impact sub who is successful when defenders are tiring.

Ironically yesterday we were trying to pass it around and got nowhere, worse in fact.

Pato came on, we went direct and we were much better second half with Tomlin playing off Pato. Playing to our strengths I suppose. Doesn't say much for changing our style which is what Glatzel needs to succeed.

Glatzel wont succeed whatever style we have. I would love to be proved wrong but I dont see what he offers.

Q. A decent return?<confused> One was a penalty.

For me the jury is still out but Warnockball style does him no favours. He will be better with the ball on the floor. I always wondered how Sala would have got on with Colin's "style".

Why does anyone think its the style. ? Hes no good with it to his feet hes not quick so the ball to run on to is no good. I know he cant head the ball but there are next to no signs of anything promising.

In short cut our losses. Transfer out. Free if necessary.

Hilts, seen the vids of his goals in Germany? Most were played through for him to run on to.

I agree he's not very good in the air but there is such a thing as a football style. Not a fair comparison I know but would Aguero have scored the goals he has if the ball was lumped up to him in the air with his back to goal and monster defenders all over him?

Bothroyd was pretty useless in the air but he had players around him who played to his strengths. Unfortunately only Tomlin seems to have those skills at present but he can't be everywhere.

Glatzel has not had a good start but with a bit more creativity around him, he will do better - and gain the other important ingredient for strikers, confidence.

Not a great comparison but he has done a lot better than Madine who scored NIL in 28 appearances but cost a similar sum. Madine even failed with a penalty.

I'm not expecting you to agree with me. Not a problem and we can all have different views. What would be the point of this if we all thought the same?

No worries Bridgy. Even though im totally convinced your wrong i hope your right. Dont agree about Jay either. He was excellent defending corners with his head. Not the greatest attacking with his head.
