Just read Harris' comments on why we haven't signed anyone yet. Said we came close on a couple but they didn't happen. Wonder what his definition of coming close is?
He also said they have other irons in the fire. Okay still 2 weeks to go but it would be nice to get at least one over the line if only to give us something more to discuss.
Contrast that with Swansea who have used Plug's connections to get 3 good youngsters in on loan. Putting any negative thoughts aside Brewster did okay on Sunday despite Morro's "friendly" welcome to the Championship tackle. He also showed a bit of dog when fouling Tomlin and didn't shirk anything through the game. He should do well for them.
A few days ago I raised the question of whether or not Harris would have more influence than Warnock in getting good youngsters in from Prem clubs. At the moment the answer appears to be a resounding, No.
