I doubt it’ll be a one-off. That’s quite a young team Klopp’s built tbf. Doesn’t matter how much their rivals spend, they’re going to take some pegging back, especially if they ever get a genuine playmaker in midfield (imagine Liverpool with Kevin De Bruyne)

That's the thing. Players pick up injuries, grow a year older or just can't be bothered after winning everything. For every messi theres a ronaldinho.

Also players who have clocked up a lot of miles sometimes lose it. Just look at rooney, his body was finished at 28.

They can’t go three seasons without an injury to one of their players.

Don’t really know who has the better squad. Liverpool have the better team though, right now anyway. They have all the momentum, and they also have the best CB in the wuuurrrld lar. Suck it up.

They do have the best CB in the world. I agree. I can’t knock their starting 11, confidence, manager, stats etc, but it doesn’t mean I can’t see quality. City have the stronger squad, losing Kompany and not replacing has killed their season.

City certainly do miss Kompany. I’m sure they’ll be back stronger next season (they’re not exactly weak this season). Maybe Chelsea with a couple of key signings will also be realistic challengers. Anything could happen. Even Man Utd aren’t that far away from being a very good side again.

I still think this Liverpool side, with this manager, will be around and winning things for a while yet. And I have no great love for Liverpool. That’s my unbiased view.
