If the move is confirmed soon, which it sounds like it will be, Clarke will be in line to make his QPR debut against Leeds on Saturday
Playing the players into the ground and saying you dont have enough players (not that he gives anyone thats on the hitlist that many chances). You could easily rotate in skipp, parrott, lamela, lo celso, foyth, dier, walkers peters for the cup game but hes already announced he wont instead choosing to whinge instead to levy he needs players (which he does). Very mourinho though
Add to that people dropping their drawers for Bruno seem to forget one thing: how can he score if nobody gets the ball to him? You were gleefully throwing Poch under the bus a few months ago...
Kane played Poch into the ground for years...Jose has been here 2 months and he was picking Kane because he was fit and ready Every manager in the world could stick square pegs in round holes all day to make it look like they have nothing to complain about Plus he hasn’t whinged to Levy at all..that’s the weird thing where everyone views Mourinho in a different light to any other manager in the world...he has been reading off Levy’s hymn sheet ever since he stepped in. Plus when all is said and done...he needs to build his own team like every manager in the world has a right to do before being judged.
It's true what Spurly says though, Jose does need to build his own team. That doesn't make him exempt from criticism now because he has made some bizarre decisions but ultimately I don't think we can actually judge Jose in terms of being a success/ failure until at least midway through next season after he's had this and the summer to start building his own team. I do still expect top four though this season, Levy sacked Poch and hired Jose to achieve that as a short term target, long term is about trying to win a pot of some sort. Personally, despite the criticism I've given him already, I am quite excited to see what he can do for us.
Link, please? You might, instead, chose to review the poll that I posted on this board, canvassing views as to whether or not people retained faith in Poch. Do you remember what my views were or how I voted? Thought not. You ought to do your research before jumping in with those clown shoes.
...although the obvious counterpoint is that there was certainly one player out of contract this summer starting in central midfield
I had a feeling that was the case with Tanganga, I wouldn't be surprised if he signed his new deal weeks ago, Spurs always delay contract extension announcements for some weird reason. Good to see Jose more or less confirm it though, big talent and after his performance on the weekend he deserves more game time.
There is a myth that Eriksen has never "got stuck in" but that is not true. From 2015- 2018 he was an important part of defending from the front. His running stats showed he didn't swan around. Unfortunately as we have weakened so has his focus so his pressing, passing and set pieces and over all contribution to the team. The club needs to have a policy of telling plsyets that want to leave that they had better find another club willing to pay the asking price or be prepared to not be selected for the rest of their contract. That should also be the case with players who the club want to sell. We have no right to tear up a contract and a responsibility to treat the players fairly. The club also has to protect the team and the fans. The club has failed in this. If Rose, Wanyama, Aurier and Eriksen had all been told on June 2nd that they needed to find a new club or face a season out of the squad Rose , Aurier and Eriksen would have all left and their replacements could have been bought. Not only that but there would not have been the issues around the squad thst certain players hsve slluded to.
Because the guy is a grade A bellend and his best days are long gone. He is everything that Spurs aren’t.
His comments about that would be hilarious...if they weren't so sad...... "I have to be honest and say he's not playing his best . I know the reasons, I'm not an idiot. It's normal a player in this situation doesn't perform in the highest level. But he is helping us in matches he has played for us. He's had positive performances and contributions like against Olympiakos and Norwich." So, he did a couple of good things against the worst team in the PL and had a good half against a poor CL team, so I'm going to continue to pick him, no matter what. It's telling that there's nothing about any of the tougher games that he's completely disappeared in. Mourinho's completely taking the piss.
Have you forgotten that I have a long memory? Saying how marvelous Guardiola is for playing midfielders in defence unlike Poch...who played Sissoko (and arguably Dier) in defence https://not606.com/threads/do-you-still-have-faith-in-poch.378350/page-3#post-13281042 Calling Poch a "clown" and "blinkered" https://not606.com/threads/do-you-still-have-faith-in-poch.378350/page-8#post-13305480 Calling Poch a "****ing idiot" for picking Eriksen https://not606.com/threads/do-you-still-have-faith-in-poch.378350/page-9#post-13306127 Saying that Poch never played new signings immediately, even though Ndombele went straight into the team and only injury took him out of it https://not606.com/threads/do-you-still-have-faith-in-poch.378350/page-17#post-13324889 Ignoring the regression of players such as Rose, Trippier and Dier (and Walker buggering off) to rubbish the idea that we need to rebuild https://not606.com/threads/mourinho-is-confirmed-as-manager.379267/page-12#post-13348987 You may want to take that clown show out of your mouth
I think Jose get's caught up in his non-English. But I think I can understand him more than I could Poch!
