Been watching the training session to gauge the interaction Between Jose and the players and I think Jose is genuinely wetting his lips at the number of quality players he has inherited. I know we have had a **** year but we are dripping with quality...something just went mentally unfortunately.

I never was buying into the ‘rebuild’ of the extremes that were being mooted because as I have said previously now isn’t supposed to be our rebuild...now the kids of 4 years ago are supposed to be hitting their peaks.

Obviously some members of the squad indeed are fast approaching their twilight years but the core is impressively strong in reality. Even so now with the new additions over the summer.

Jose loves Eric Dier btw could be a Portuguese thing and let’s not forget only last year he wanted him at United.

 

The fact those kids aren't hitting their peaks, not least because one of them buggered off for a bumper payday (and can't admit it) while another one's regressed on the pitch and only shows a turn of speed when legging it to The Sun's offices to slag off the team and the club is why a rebuild was needed
