Which confirms what i have been saying about how **** our league has become, the bottom 12 teams are in -ve goal difference ffs.
It's a bit early in morning to do the maths but it seems to make rough sense that if the top half have positive goal difference then the bottom half have a negative one. Pretty sure that when Everton last finished 5th they had a -1 goal difference.

Utd’s GD is only +11 or 3 away day losses.

don’t blame @Diego. Remember, if we win the league, he has to live with it for the next year and if you’re not a very stable person, you will find reasons why it’s not the reality; like VAR or It’s a weak league....basically anything to diminish the achievement in their own mind so that they can live anything like their sad normal life <whistle>

Our **** league populated the last seasons European major cup finals 100% and all four of its representatives in CL this season have progressed to R16. I would say at this moment it is the strongest league in Europe.
Did you mean to say how **** Utd have become?
Utd are English football, we all know that. If they are bad, then the whole game is worthless.

Been in a shyte meeting so was wondering about @Diego and his GD claim. What sort of GD profile would show that the league is full of good quality teams?

He’s clutching at straws. I bet if you look at every league, everywhere in the world, the profile is similar. You can go back to every title they ever won and I’d bet that the profile would be similar.....meaning under his own criteria, Utd fluked most of their titles - we all know that’s BS. We all know that they bought them <whistle>

It's an outlandish claim, but one I've seen echoed over the last couple of weeks. There are increasingly strange excuses for why we are top of the league and walking away with it. Everyone seems to have forgotten we where close to doing the same last year.

Its childish more than anything, slightly odd and a little bit bitter.

That would be a trifle geeky, but I did look back 5 or 6 years in the Prem - and yes, the pattern is similar every year. Averages about 7 or 8 teams ending up with positive GD.
Diego does like to pull stuff out of his arse to get a response.

Thinking about @Diego in your spare time is a sure sign of madness.
TBF it was a very boring meeting and I was thinking about GD in general and the maths of how the season would have to pan out in order to have a majority of teams with a positive GD.

More importantly, why aren't my emoticon thingies working?

The league GD is just a sign of a 2 billion pound squad being managed by Fraudiola. Sometimes he flukes it and beats Watford 8-0, then he draws against Newcastle.

Liverpool just control games and win 75% of games by 1 or 2 goals. Being in control is also why we're "lucky" to not have injuries to key players - they aren't chasing the personal glory of meanless stats like hattricks.

I'm no mathematician, so I could well be wrong, but my instinct says it can't. Every goal is scored by someone and conceded by someone else, so some bugger must be letting them in. Unless you had a handful of teams at the bottom conceding 100 or so they have to be distributed a little more evenly.
Perhaps the fact that more teams are in deficit is actually an indication of the strength of those outside the top half-dozen, rather than the opposite?

Diego will be loving this...
Positive G/D

Last 10 seasons
18/19 - 6 teams
17/18 - 9 teams
16/17 - 10 teams

And he'll be spunking himself that you've got to that much time and effort <laugh>

Just seen that the FA have made a deal with Bet365 that allows fans to watch FA Cup matches on Bet365 for free... as long as they place a £5 bet.

****ing disgraceful!!!

Deal was done a while ago and it seems that FA are now sorry and want out, there is talk of it being streamed free on other sites. What on earth where the FA thinking, in what world was this ever going to be a good idea?
