I met Cest once in the car park outside the ground. I didn't even know it was him until the conversation finished and Gordon give me the heads up that's who he was. He's a very unassuming fella and at the time he had his business at Chester. Not sure if he's still going or not, I only live a few miles away, I could always have a look, I suppose.

I think Jerry still frequently pops her head in on here. Billy thought the absolute world of her, god bless him. I remember Outlaw well, he had some cracking tales to tell. Can you remember the name of the poster who moved to Canada and set up his own bar business over there?

You may have sent him a package come to think of it. Somebody did anyway, I think...

I'm sure you are thinking about HordenMackem. If it is I remember him posting some pictures of his bar we hitch looked immense. Not sure it was Canada though, thought it was somewhere in the USA.

In my original conversation with joe. He was trying to claim the moral high ground by saying things like "I haven't got a ****ing clue who you are"... He is an "original" etc etc.

To me that's wrong.

I haven't moved over here from RTG, I've been a reader of this site for many years, and signed up recently.

But when people are trying to separate the "originals" and the new people from RTG, I don't agree with it.

I don't have a chip on my shoulder, only an opinion, which is what forums are for.

I'm happy to stay of this thread, I'm not looking to take it any further off topic.
I'd rather you stayed on this thread if we can direct the conversation away from this? :emoticon-0150-hands

Horden, that's the fella. Was it the States? I'll bow down to your memory because it was just an inkling that I had.

Yes, his bar did look very good. I thought they'd be one or two of our posters that would eventually find their way over there as that wouldn't have surprised me the way this board was at the time for meeting up. I don't think that ever materialised, though. Shame.

These message boards always need new blood it's how we continue to grow. @Nacho wasn't here from the start but he's a great poster and one of the main guys on the board. Ozzy, I think you're a very good poster, tbh. I don't have any sort of issue with new posters and I don't want you guys to feel like that because then a divide will be drawn.

My only issue, and it's the first one I've had with the 'RTG guys' is what happened last night and something I seen a couple days ago which I won't bring up because it didn't involve me. New posters are great, please bring more if you know any. Posters coming here like SAFCY, who seemed alright at 'face' value, need to understand that this isn't RTG. It's not a precious board and never has been, which leads me to my concern and that is that the dynamics of the board might change which is very different from all this original and newbie bollocks.

If you guys genuinely believe me saying to somebody 'I didn't realise you had autism' is OTT and 4 RTG posters spoke up about it, then it's a little bit of the tough titties. This is how the site runs and newcomers in any walk of life shouldn't just come in and try to change what's acceptable and what's not.

Pretty much anything goes here apart from pornography which will have you instantly life banned. When two posters get into an argument on this forum, it's almost welcomed and as long as both posters slog it out and keep it relatively clean then just sit back and enjoy the show. Calling each other ****ers and everything isn't a big deal. If it gets to the point where (and it does happen) one poster or both posters completely lose it and start wishing illness and sexual assaults on each other, then the mods on this site know that it's gone to far and that's the time to step in. A bit of very light cheek, if it can be called that, like last night is never going to be taking seriously.

I think the problem's come about because unless there's a reason for it not to be the default for this board is for it to be peaceful, everyone new has come over at a particularly mellow time and been warmly welcomed, their worst trolls were banished by our mods with no dicking about and it's left the impression that it's some kind of utopia where there's never any arguments.

Not the case at all it's spicy as **** on here on a regular basis we just don't tend to a) get involved in other people's arguments that have nothing to do with us b) get offended unless it's something horrendous.

Been said before but just think of it like a pub, when's the last time that you heard someone complain to the landlord because they felt offended by something someone said to them.

I've seen a few people now use that exact same sentiment and it rings true. I very rarely go into pubs but if I were to walk into the Colliery on match day and start complaining to the staff that I've just heard somebody say something not very nice to somebody else. I'd be the one rightfully lobbed out the doors.

The rest of it is a great post, btw. It sums it up perfectly for me.

I'm going to try and get my head down now. It is Saturday isn't it? I've been awake since Thursday evening or early hours of Friday morning, I think. I can't really remember. Change over of meds again has knocked me all over the shop.

Take it easy, mate. Good to chat with you, again <ok>

The pub sums it up for me. I don't agree that running to the landlord is right, nor do I think mentioning you know that landlord is right.

I didn't agree with the autism comment and mentioned that I didn't, no running to the landlord, no reporting it but the comment back was "snowflake" etc.

So what's the problem, Chunky <laugh> That's what you'd expect to here in a boozer, surely?

I'd expect the people I was drinking with to acknowledge that their comment was possibly not the best and it may be taken the wrong way and not boast about knowing the landlord or how long they have been drinking in the pub.

Either way, you have been here a long time, your mates with the boss of the site, so let's just leave it

I guess the thing is that fair enough you didn't like something, you've let it be known to the person directly and as far as I'm concerned that's that, there doesn't need to be any consequences to it.

Chances are as time passes and we all get to know each better it'll be sound.

Still in a mood then?

We've obviously been drinking in different bars. I'm not sure where the boasting about knowing the landlord comes from? If you're referring to me telling SAFCY that if he didn't stop reporting all the posts he'd be banned because I know how the site operates, then class it as boasting if you want.

I think somebody might have referred to me knowing him but at that point I was quite happy to wind people up, so I think I made a comment about having friends in high places or something. It was a joke.

I've never thought of myself the way you have described, maybe that's the way I come across though, so I'll want to do something about that.

For the record, this owner mate of mine you keep referring too has banned me more than most from the site, if not the most.

Enjoy the rest of your night <ok>

What just made you sign up recently and what stopped you signing up previously?

I had a lot on work wise, and didn't have time to contribute as I would have liked.

I did try to sign up at one point, but I think there was something wrong with the site which didn't allow new members to sign up.

When I saw the influx of RTG members come over, I realised the problem must have been fixed, and coupled with the fact I have more time on my hands, it made sense to sign up.

I've always enjoyed to read the forum. Cracking lads on here, and like you said in a previous post, it's not too mod happy, with a bit of an anything goes atmosphere, baring the obvious pornography and racism etc.
