My rent down here is £875 a month for a 1 bed flat in Sevenoaks. I don't mind paying that as I am in a decent area.

That's my monthly Army Pension (cheers lads) gone in a oner.

But that is what it is. The South East (London, etc) generates the income for the whole country - that will never change.

I just don't see how Scotland can become economically viable on its own - I really can't.

Wee Krankie points towards 'Westmonster' - well - look at the nick of some of Scotland's services since the wee ****hoose has been in the hot seat?

Around a tenth of Britain's population is in Scotland, and it has a tenth of its economic growth. But it is responsible for more than half of the increase in total annual government borrowing. So, in the absence of subsidy it receives as part of Britain – about £10 billion annually – how could a separate Scotland possibly sustain such a level of expenditure? It would fail the requirements for euro and Schengen membership that are now a must for new states seeking EU membership. Its annual deficit of 7 per cent of GDP is way above the 3 per cent limit that would trigger the EU's medicine for excessive deficits. That would mean a severe austerity regime if it actually joined. With two failed banks, both bailed out by the British taxpayer, Scotland would fail to find a central bank, another condition of membership.

Good on you and that but having seen thousand of scrounging workshy folk claiming all sorts then I’m inclined to disagree.

Hey ho.

Of course there are. If there's a system and a gain to be had, there are always going to be those that try and work it.

But now, more than ever before, those that need the help are not those shagging the system. They are normal everyday people like you and I who work as hard (maybe harder) than you and I and just don't have the same opportunities we had. And I know you mocked it before but he being able to buy our first properties at 3x our annual salary and 5% deposit while living with family (or taigy inlaws) is not the reality now. Rents are sky high. Minimum wage compared to living wage (and even that's a joke) is a shambles. There's just no ****ing chance unless, as I said, you are born to the right people in the right area.

working your way up now isn't getting an apprenticeship, living at home during it and bunging your mum £100 digs and then getting a job straight away. It's companies, that don't pay Tax using the new found craze of unpaid internships because they won't hire at all without experience. This means that someone works 9 hours for **** all and then does their second/and third job after to get by and at the end of the internship only half are taken on as the company can just fill the roles with the next load of unpaid internships. It's a bullshit system fully designed to favour large companies that the Tory government refuse to tax because it's their Eton educated buddies that are CEO.

The end of apprenticeships was one of the worst things which happened to this country TBH.

That's bollocks. Labour never did that then?

Look - it is the multinationals (you know this) who create jobs and subsequently it looks good on the released figures of employment. Labour were exactly the same.

If you want to raise Corporation Tax then they will just move to Direland.

NHS & Education.

A mess.

Just remember - if you go it alone - no more free University
NHS in Scotland out performs every other part of the UK.

Scottish class sizes are 8% lower than those in England.

Your university claim is total bullshit based on nothing but your obvious stupidity

I'm not cool enough to be Woke or any of that ****e. I just think that Britain should be doing a **** load more with the resources we have. It's a national disgrace that foodbank and homelessness is even in our vocabulary.

It isn't though! FFS - We are totally overcrowded! Where do you want us to put all these people (10s of 1000s who are here illegally anyway)?

Our NHS (and housing) is at bursting point because of Tony Blair - he is the one who let anyone come in.

You cannot blame the Tories for that.

The Scottish government introduced national apprenticeships years ago. There are more apprentices now than there has ever been.

Go to bed ya lush
