As a result, the Sky Bet Championship clash at the KCOM Stadium will now be played on Friday 14th February (KO 7.45pm).
The home game against Swansea has been moved from Saturday 15th Feb. to Friday 14th Feb. 7.45 pm. due to Sky selecting the game for live coverage.
I do feel for Swansea fans on this one, what a ****ter, especially for those who will have already booked train tickets or sorted out travel.
At least they can take their girlfriends out for Valentine's Day and tell their wives their off to the KCom
This Swansea fan has a problem and he is only a mile away from the away ground. Seems Humberside Plod and South Yorkshire have rivals for the title of biggest ****wits. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/s...-stadium-faces-200-MILE-round-trip-match.html
That is ****ing appalling. I can see how they can enforce it before the match, because it’s a private company and they can decide who to sell tickets to or not, and whether to let in people who haven’t travelled with the club or not. However surely making him go back to Swansea after the match would be a violation of Article 13 of the human rights act, because after the match there’s no contractual position between you and the club. “a citizen of a state in which that citizen is present has the liberty to travel, reside in, and/or work in any part of the state where one pleases within the limits of respect for the liberty and rights of others,” I hope some ****er takes them on (with a better legal argument than mine probably)
I guess he has to go back to Swansea to collect his car (no trains from Cardiff to Swansea before the game).
Ah You could be right I read the bit below as that was being enforced as well, but maybe poorly written “To make matters worse, Mr Lewis then can't walk home. Instead he has to return back to Swansea via the fan coach and then inexplicably make his own way back to Cardiff.”
Still a massive ****show though. Thankfully the Huddersfield bubblegate controversy and subsequent action by fans' groups has warned off our West Yorkshire Constabulary friends from ****ing about with City fans in this manner for a while.
