The stupid thing about the article is it doesn’t identify viable alternatives. Build a mall? Well I reckon shops in the city centre would have something to say about that. Build council houses, there would be outrage as it’s next to a sewage plant. .
all I see is it will increase tourism to another part of the city that has **** all. So what if they build swanky flats. What they are proposing doing with the existing ground more than makes up for building a load of flats. Clubs need to have sustainable income on their land so hotels and apartments make perfect sense for clubs to move forward and afford the outlay of doing the stadium.
do actual Liverpudlians object to it? Or just sour grapes that Everton would have the better stadium?
