No, we have VAR and, finally, referees that can be scrutinised in real time.
Well they aint working mate, refs and VAR thinking people are gaining "unfair advantage" because they are quicker of thought and action than their opponent (or have bigger feet/hairdo or beard).
It's as pitiful as defenders "stepping out" to leave somebody off side (they aren't trying to gain unfair advantage, the defenders are just too **** to challenge them so run away and wait for the ref to help them out), it's a total abuse of the rules and the whole lot want';s **** canning.

They've lost the ability to hide their bias behind the excuse that anyone can make a mistake in real time.

Anthony Taylor of Manchester was fuming that he was held accountable by VAR. Booked Lallana out of spite for a non-foul and gave the fewest number of fouls in his entire career against Wolves.

Now THAT'S pitiful. You don't do irony, do you? When has playing an opponent offside been any more of an 'abuse' of the rules as, say, forming a wall at a free kick, or chesting a ball back to you goalie?

Please explain how an attacker is gaining an unfair advantage by the defenders running away :emoticon-0100-smile

Please explain how doing away with the offside rule benefits football, and if you're not doing away with it, how you intend to have a law that only the defenders have to obey. Not for the first time Roger, you've crossed the ridiculous line - don't blame the posters on here for playing you offside.

Who mentioned doing away with it?
Implementing it correctly would suffice.

That's what they did against Wolves and everyone had a [HASHTAG]#meltdown[/HASHTAG]

I got into VAR with Mane at Porto last season. To my naked eye, Mane was a yard offside. VAR showed him a yard onside. And that's the problem for some - VAR is working (except for Bobby at Villa) in that it's favouring the right decision, and if that favours Liverpool then bogus moral objections must be invoked to try and obscure the technical truth - referees traditionally make 'mistakes' that favour the richer, sugar-daddy clubs and have hindered Liverpool. Not this season - the truth prevails, and the cheats don't like it.

It's technically very good, ****'s all over the actual rule but hey, who cares.

You don't, it is designed to stop unfair advantage and a defender running away and claiming off-side is just that.

Just which defender was doing that, btw, for Wolves disallowed goal on Sunday? Should we stop the game whilst they take lie-detector tests so that we can determine their intentions? Btw, is forming a line of defenders to defend a free kick from the flanks considered an unfair advantage in your Fruitopia?

Don't be so stupid, if they form a line and the attackers cross it before the ball is kicked they are trying to gain an advantage............off-side
If the defenders run the other way they are also trying to gain an advantage, play on.

Hahaha!!! This is ****ing mint - how did Mane's goal at Porto **** all over the rules? Did he run too fast?
Why are you picking individual Liverpool moments?
Talk about the actual rule and the way it's implemented for all FFS, who gives a **** about Liverpool apart from Scouser's <doh>

**** me, this is truly comical. So, should the onside position be determined before the ball is kicked if the defensive line moves up in unison before the ball is kicked? Is offside to become a moral, subjective judgement in your brave new world?
