when I think of you and glasses Den I don’t think of something to wear, I only imagine a container for holding liquid (albeit briefly)
Just got to the hotel for our Christmas do tonight & realised I’ve left work wearing my safety glasses. #LooksLikeACuntEvenBeforeADrink Mrs B not impressed as I’ll be “Looking like a gawping gormless ****er all night”
You can't be to careful, dangerous things Christmas does, have you considered a high visibility jacket, hard hat and safety boots?
Specsavers offer a no quibble guarantee. So if you’re still not happy you can go back and ask for your money back. May focus (sorry) their minds on sorting you out. I know this because I dropped £400+ on two new pairs of specs and am in the process of getting them corrected as the optician didn’t get my prescription right. They needed making stronger, they made them weaker instead and I nearly had a bloody accident driving at night with them on. Had a retest with a different optician at the same place who did a lot of head shaking and muttering, but have to say the new lenses seem ok so far.
It did just come to me that Does DJ’s dad read this board? No doubt he’ll be thinking It’ll be all the ****ing Wonder if he still walks about the house doing it??!!?
Can we have some more info on the quiz? categories? How many questions is there a tie break? What sort of style is your dad as quizmaster? Bradders? Brucey? Larry Grayson?
Picture round , music , sport ,general knowledge , usually soaps - to piss my brother in law off as he’s never watched one, I secretly suspect my dad doesn’t like him Not sure there is a quiz host on the Tele to compare him too , I’ve never seen Bradley Walsh get angry with people for daring to question the answers , and ignore any constructive criticism by talking loudly over them
Ha, good to be fair - turns out the goalkeepers at the other end have arms and legs and aren’t just wobbly blobs after all .
My sight sounds similar to yours, so about 3 months ago was prescribed lenses to sharpen up for driving/ reading. The optician did say it was marginal whether I needed them, and to be honest, I can't decide if it helps or not. As well as fading eyesight, my memory has deteriorated so forget to put them on! Denis suggested I trialled them at City (I'm in E2 so struggle a bit to see action around the South Stand ), probably because I was talking the usual bollox in my match analysis. I can't decide if it's an improvement, and again keep forgetting to take them. I do hate wearing them, so maybe kid myself my eyesights no better. At the same time, was prescribed stronger lenses for reading. I was aware this had deteriorated but did manage limited reading. Three months later, I can't read a thing without them, so seemed to have deteriorated quite rapidly.
Being able to sleep in them means not poking your eye twice a day, being able to see if woken at night and not looking for your glasses and same in the morning. I find them very comfortable and often forget I'm wearing them.
