    I can't see it myself.

More to the point neither can Wenger.

If he won't leave until summer, shouldn't the subject read "Wenger will do one?" Asking for an American friend.

If we get new owners and if Gattuso is available, I'd love to see us go for him as new manager.

I wonder if arsenal want emery out yet. Looks like they’ve fell behind in the title race and will be looking to play just for a European spot again.

Knives would have been sharpened for Wenger by now.

Arsenal have confirmed they paid out £17.1m to end contract with Arsene Wenger and his coaching staff.

Imagine getting in Arteta while Everton are getting in Ancelotti.

****ing hell, I know who I'd choose. Obviously Arteta is new, but I think I'd choose the bloke who has won multiple European trophies.

.Think of all the managers available at the time Arsenal appointed some French bloke managing a Japanese team who hardly anybody had heard of with Arsenal fans at the time querying the decision.

The high profile Japanese team that most people had heard of as Gary Lineker had played for them 2 years earlier?

Obviously, prior to that he famously managed Monaco for 7 years through a successful period with high profile players and big money signings.

Not quite the same as Arteta to be fair.

Arsenal thouhh, so all good if he ****s up big style.

Arsenal fans, and others including the press, were saying Arsene who? The idea that most people had heard of that Japanese team is not at all accurate. There were any number of managers Arsenal fans would have preferred. Some in the game were aware of him but he was not at all well known to the average fan.
I remember at work after his first interview a Wednesday fan offering the opinion that he looked like a schoolmaster who would find the English game too much and wouldn’t last 3 months. Something I always remind him of whenever our paths cross.

I'm pretty sure most people who watched football had heard of Nagoya Grampus 8 at the time as Lineker was still high profile and their results were in the tabloidsand on TV each week he played,. It was hard to have not heard of them.

Maybe they weren't as familiar with the manager. Irrespective, Arteta is a different kettle of fish to a very experienced manager who had managed at a high level for the previous 10 years.

Not disputing whether Arsenal fans queried it though. They have proven themseves as idiots consistently over the past few decades.

Most people won’t have heard of them as most people aren’t football fans.

Most football fans weren’t aware of them, as shown by the comments at the time. Lineker wasn’t playing for them when Wenger was there.

That's the first time in 60 years that Arsenal have had four consecutive home defeats.

As big a bunch of tossers as they surely are, that's a hell of a record.
