Tonight's football results according to Tory Central Office:

    Oxford thrash Man City
Man Utd lose out to Colchester
Everton fans lifted by success in penalty shoot out

If you want the truth then ****ing look somewhere else.

Jurgen Klopp is the world's worst football manager. He is after all a Kraut and here at Tory part Central Office we don't like Johnny ****ing Foreigner.

Tory Party report that they have at last got young people to vote for them.

It appears that the majority of people who voted Tory in the election were actually born yesterday.

No, not a waste of time. Sometimes you have to do what is right for the country, regardless of political outcome.

All of Trump’s lies were exposed. The Republicans are now on record for being the craven and corrupt pieces of **** that they are. It might not be enough to save the US, but you have to do what you can. Give people every chance to open their eyes. If they refuse, then we are screwed.

But we would also be screwed if the Democrats did nothing, or only what was expedient politically in the short term regardless of process or ethics. That is how Republicans have been thinking, and it is why we are in this mess.

I’m not saying the Democrats are heroes. But in this situation, they are on the right side and did the right thing regardless of motivation.

Even though if you choose to view things in purely political terms, it was still necessary. They would have lost the left had they done nothing. If the Democrats won’t avail themselves of the tools available to them and defend the constitution, then people will lose faith in them, and turn to more radical candidates and methods. That may happen anyway, but at least there was an attempt to solve things the right way before there is blood on the streets.

Not only would they have lost the left, consider what he was impeached for doing: attempted to coerce a foreign power into helping his reelection campaign, and continued to publicly exhort them to do so, after a previous election where a lengthy investigation concluded that his campaign had a troubling amount of connections to a foreign power that was working to help his election campaign(and also he publicly exhorted them to do so). Also, his private lawyer, who is STILL attempting to coerce a foreign power into helping his reelection campaign, was being bankrolled by a Ukrainian billionaire who is to be extradited to the US for corruption and has been lobbying for the charges to be dropped by Trump's DOJ.

Given all that, you absolutely have to impeach, because it's virtually guaranteed that he'll keep trying to subvert democracy. Worrying that it might be politically disadvantageous is foolish.

Momentum and their pals are not going to like this one little bit, but the interview Tony Blair gave to Kirsty Wark on Newsnight hit the nail on the head. The electorate have a range of things that they will accept, move outside that range and you are going to get mullered. And that was what Labour did last week. They got one voter in three to support them. That 33% probably consisted of 25% "OOOHHH Jeremy Corbyn" voters who would vote Labour whatever the policies, whoever the leader and another 8% like myself who voted for the party somewhat reluctantly and also in my case, ( I predicted 200 Labour seats on this very forum and was called a Cassandra by Archers for doing so) inI the knowledge that they would get wiped out.

Rebecca Long Bailey if she is elected as the continuity candidate for Corbynism will herald the draining away of that 8% and the prospect of the loss of another 60 or so seats in the 2024 election. You may hate Blair but in this case he is only the messenger. Shoot him at your peril!

Tony Blair is basing his 'advice' to the Labour party on the state of the country and electorate today. That's all very well and he is probably correct because that is exactly what has happened. Pretty bloody obvious to be truthful and no great revelation.

Where Blair is completely wrong is he is not factoring in what this government will do to the country over the next 5 years. Following a right wing Tory government that will slash and burn much of what the average reasonable person values, an embalmed Karl Marx will stand a chance of being elected.

His 'advice' is for Labour to abandon its principles and become New Labour Mk.II. No thanks Tony.

I just find it sickening that people put party politics/their bank accounts over the truth.

    The world is so corrupt

I always find it difficult when Blair (the warmonger) pops up to give us his opinions, but in this case we need to listen to Blair (the winner) because he knows how you win elections. Just watching and listening to him you see the kind of politician that the conservative part of our electorate might vote for and that’s who we need to vote Labour to win ...

And however conservative he might look in the spectrum of the Labour Party he is still to the left of any Tory administration

You can’t change anything in opposition

Nicola Sturgeon making the case for a Scottish independence referendum. Press conference on BBC2. I expect StG is watching.

Blair is toxic. Left office after dragging us into an illegal war the impact of which is still reverberating around the world. Has personally amassed a £60 million fortune since. Why anybody thinks he’s the answer to anything, is beyond me.

Incidentally, his government introduced tuition fees, not to mention PFI (which helped paved the way for the creeping privatisation of the NHS under the current government).

I don’t want you to be wrong, but you are

Have you not noticed what the Tories have been doing for 10 years ... and still got elected with a large majority?

Get a moderate Labour Party elected and then you can argue about policy

My best friend of thirty five years standing represented this area as MP from 1997-2010. I persuaded him to go for the nomination. He was uncomfortable after Iraq and supported Gordon Brown in replacing Blair. I said at the time it was a mistake. I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that Blair would have either won in 2010 against Cameron or, as a worst case scenario ended up as largest party and able to form a centre left coalition with the LD's

In either instance we would not have had what has occurred over the last decade. No Cameron, no May, no referendum, no Brexit , no Johnson. And you still prefer Corbyn?

Whilst this is true, the list of of positives his government had on british society is absolutely massive.

To use him as an example of how to get a labour party elected is the right thing to do.

Personally, knowing very little of the candidates yet, Keir Starmer would be my first choice, as he speaks very well and looks like he can appeal to the masses in a way corbyn could not.
