patronising.........Stop looking for that crap.....no one was trying to be patronising!!!!!! I was trying to lighten the load a bit. But no you chose to look for the worst. Be advised take a step back buddy.............

Last week you were just looking for a reaction. This week you’re just lightening the load a bit.

Seems to me you make it up as you go when questioned.

Yes, my perception is that you were patronising. That’s not an insult or slagging you off, it’s telling you how I felt about your post. What is a shame, is you haven’t bothered trying to explain or answer the questions asked by me or St Jabb.

As for that veiled threat at the end, you’re going to ban me for daring to question your posts? Really? Is that where we’ve got to now?

You don’t have to. I’m done.

Can I come?

I don't think that he meant that you were trying to be patronising but to be perfectly honest a couple of your posts did come across that way to me. It's all a bit "calm down, calm down, it's not that important." Well excuse me, but to many of us it IS that important, and then some.

As as an East Coast dweller that all looks very similar. I love Holland, the town where I was born was twinned with Katwijk, interestingly the only place outside England my dad ever went. He went on a fishing boat with his grandfather in 1924!

Stop looking for the worst side of things........."People like you" "Patronising" What is that if not veiled insults??..........As usual you think there is only one thing we can do..........The veiled threat as you call it was no such thing. I was just not going to let our difference take over the thread. that is my job.........Glad you are done before it really got out of hand!!!!

Please don't let this drive you away Fats.

You make too many valuable contributions, you're much appreciated and you are amongst friends.

Apart from that I like your avatar <laugh>

Beddy, I think there is a reason people get touchy quite quickly about this stuff. It means a great deal to people's lives potentially. Telling people to calm down and get on with it, when they foresee friends losing their jobs does grate.

Not only that, but ignoring situations and just carrying on as normal is exactly what they want people to do, so they can get up to whatever they like. It is exactly what Hitler did.

Democracy and a fair society relies on people standing up for what they believe, and the first step of that is open dialogue.

Strewth buddy Ive never said things aren't important. It's obvious that a lot on here have issues with the way things have gone. However all I'm saying is ok they've gone against what you think or want but we have to get on with things. I fully understand people are afraid of losing their jobs etc. I don't mean for you to give up, but all I'm asking is you don't sabotage things because you disagree. As Ive said previously campaign, demonstrate contact your mp. All those things.

Some though do get carried away............I do understand better than you know...........All I say is let people have their say....they don't need to tell others on here that they shouldn't take part because they don't agree or that they shouldn't post. just stop being personal or personalising something (that's not meant as a jibe to you personally) stop looking for the worst side of what they say. Sadly we all can suffer from people misunderstanding what you are trying to get over. Its the sad thing about having to write things down where if said the tone has a bearing on what is being said............Ill get off m

Mate People have totally taken me the wrong way.............The more I try to get my point across the more people are looking on the negative side of it.

We enjoy life here, there's a lot more than Amsterdam to see. Sailing over in 1924 would have been an adventure.

A great piece from Byline Times about how to fight back. In summary, we must all do what we can to mitigate the impending disaster, but we must also make sure the mess is blamed on no one but the Tories.
