I think Iwobi will do well at Everton. He doesnt have the end product to be successful in a TOP team but he's a decent level Premierleague player.
He's worse than Walcott. He's Walcott without goals. And all Walcott has is goals. And Walcott has been shown to be **** at Everton.
Pff. He's a forward who's only scored more than 10 prem goals once in twelve full Premier league seasons. Found his level at Everton and even there he's ****e.
He spent most of his career on the wing. You are an idiot if you think a guy who scores 108 goals for Arsenal - despite some catastrophic injuries is NOT a good player. There's a lot more nuance to evaulating an athlete.
Irrelevant given the timing and context. He's a forward. And only once had he scored more than 10 goals in the prem. In over 10 years. His totals are irrelevant unless you take into account time and context. Lacazette scored 13 league goals in 2018/19 whereas Cannavaro scored 16 league goals in his career. Cannavaro the better forward then yes? Gervinho could score 108 goals for Arsenal if you have him an indefinite career to do it over. But they're both still ****. The fact we gave Walcott eleven ****ing years at our club is the biggest embarrassment in all of this. He can't even get in Everton's ****ing starting XI and that's in a game when they start ****ters like Calvert-Lewin becuas they're resting their new signings Kean et al. The guy is a sack of ****.
I dont know what to say to you. It's like arguing with a flat-earther. A player with that many Arsenal and National team caps = A good player. Gervinho was also a very good player. He had an ability to glide past players. Finishing was always his weakness but still he excelled at Roma particularly in the 2013/14 Season. Mate - Like I said there's ALOT more nuance. Every player less than 'top class' IS NOT ****.
A player good enough for Everton's bench is... ****e. And a forward who scores four in 2/3 seasons in China is also ****e.
Apparently Nacho Monreal is close to a mkove to Real Sociedad. On one hand it makes sense to sell him but on the other - he's defensively better than Kolasinac and Tierney is still not fit. Emery has apparently told Elneny and Mustafi they are not part of the Clubs plans and it would be wise to move on. This is a good sign though players that we all knew were NOT of the required standard are slowing being phased out.
The difficulty is there any interest from anyone in these players? You are stuck with them I am afraid.
Im sure there is for Elneny - he would be decent in a mid/lower-table side or the French League. Mustafi will be hardest to shift although Roma are reportedly interested.
Mkhitaryan off to Roma on a season-long loan. Roma will pay a loan fee and will cover 80% of his £180k p/w wages. If this comes to fruition (and I hope it does, for both the club's sake and his sake), it makes Emery's decision to bring him on yesterday even more confusing. The Mkhi-Sanchez swap deal has to be one of the worst transfers in recent years.
Well Monreal too - he was starting ahead of Kolasinac - then we let him go. Mkhitarian has been useful as he can play in a variety of roles. On the plus side neither are really of the required level and It shows Emery is looking for TOP players only.. But to be honest I feel the same way about Xhaka he's not consistently capable of producng the required standard. I think they are clearing out more players to allow for January additions (something Josh Kroenke claimed recently)
One player we should look at is Ben White who is at Leeds on loan from Brighton. I’ve watched him on numerous occasions this season and this kid is destined for the top. Can defend and play out from the back with ease. Currently part of the best defense in England statistically. snap him up now for 20-30m and we won’t be disappointed.
First genuine transfer rumour - Sky says we are interested in Kevin Volland from Leverkusen. Another striker? Will we ever be linked with defensive players?
