To be able to govern this country you don’t even need 40 percent of the votes. It’s crazy that after the election all the other votes don’t count. The majority don’t want whatever government gets in. It’s usually city against the countryside. Time for a PR system. Every vote should count. UKIP) not a fan by the way) got 5 million votes one election and got 1 seat. SNP got less and had approx 50 seats. It’s bloody ridiculous. The cons and Labour won’t want it as it takes away their monopoly. And here is the problem. The U.K. is not naturally Far right or Far left so we are frustrated to hell thst there is no in between and therefore it’s swings too far whoever gets in. However I will be voting. All in my opinion of course.

I'd vote for you <ok>

MPs must represent everyone in their constituency

Of the local MPs, (Turner, Johnson, Hardy) I don't think any of them have uttered anything about supporting their constituents in reference to Brexit, which IMHO is a big mistake. Unlike the one in Grimsby (Ong) who has seen the direction of travel.
I assume (TJ&H) are assuming that the people will vote them back in!!!!!!...They may be right of course, but it could be tight. Johnson is my MP but I haven't seen one pamphlet or had one put through my door or anyone at my door. Again do Labour expect people to come out in the droves to vote for them!!!! Iffy...

Lets be fair, whoever you vote for, the government always get in.

IMHO....If Labour had a less toxic leader than JC they'd have a much better chance. Of all the major parties I think there is one that is telling the least lies, and that's the one I'll be putting my X next to....BTW it isn't the Lib-Dems. They are away with the fairies.

Where & when has JC been “Toxic”?

Has he been repeatedly racist?

Has he been repeatedly Bigoted?

Has he been homophobic?

Has he targeted people with low IQs?

Has he targeted working class men as drunks & criminals?

Has he targeted single mothers as raising a generation of ill-raised, ignorant, aggressive and illegitimate children

Has he targeted the children of working mums as more likely to wear hoodies & be muggers

Has he targeted women attending University as just hunting for a husband?

I’d label any leader who had done these things as “toxic” but I can find no actual evidence of JC doing any of it. Maybe smears & lies that are not true in many of the Tax Evading MSM rags but not actual evidence.

Maybe toxic is the wrong word. But I don't think his perceived support of the IRA (in the past) or siding with Argentina during the Falklands or visiting the graves of some of those responsible for the 1972 Munich massacre are very good pointers for someone who wants to lead the nation. Other than that JC is great, and some of Labours policies strike a cord. But in hindsight we did hear similar things from Blair and Brown in the past and that didn't work out too well.

As long as people apply the same level of scrutiny and distaste about the past misdemeanours of all leaders in the election then that’s fair enough. But I’m not sure that always happens.

He didn’t support the IRA. He spoke to both sides in attempts to bring about dialogue for peace.

He didn’t visit any graves of any of those responsible for the Munich massacre.

He wasn’t an MP during the Falklands War

He is presiding over a hotbed of anti semitism which has hounded out some of its own Jewish MPs, has a large number of cases of anti semitism incidents/investigations ongoing inc one from the EUHRC.

Is he either anti semitic himself or unable to deal with the large numbers of people in his party who are of that ilk.

Has he renounced his admiration for the Venezuelan govt yet?

There are 130 current cases outstanding of alledged antisemitism. The Membership is 600k. There are more allegations & instances in the other two major Parties. Numbers have dropped since JC became Leader, he is the only Leader to put in place a system of outing racism in the Party.

What’s wrong with the situation is it’s known racists (like you) who happily trot out the garbage.

JC has done more to combat all forms of racism than all other Party Leaders. Saying otherwise is a lie.

I don't think I've ever seen such a dirty campaign fought by all parties involved.Today's politicians have reached a new low and should all be ashamed of themselves!!! Parliament has been reduced to the laughing stock of Europe due to the squabbling and childish behaviour of a bunch of spoiled gits and their reluctance to allow democracy.

I'll cast my vote on Thursday although my vote will have no effect in this neck of the woods.Sturgeon is hell bent on getting a 2nd referendum to break up the union and 'If' the Conservatives don't have a majority I fear she'll assist Corbyn and in turn get her wish granted......not ideal for an Englishman living up North!!!

1. Numerous references to his support for Irish republicanism. Not specifically his dialogue for peace.
2. Check out his October 2014 visit to Tunis to attend a wreath laying event at the grave sides of some of those responsible for Munich.
3. Whether he was/wasn't a MP at the time has no bearing whatsoever. There are numerous (on line) references to his support for Argentina.

It doesn’t say any of that in the manifesto. Which is the point Ben was making. I think it is very unlikely that a majority of 650 MPs will vote for the end of democracy, even in the very unlikely event that a PM proposed it. So I think you needn’t worry too much about that scenario.

I am not worried Indeed, at my age with not that many years left, would almost like Corbyn to get in and all those young people who think there would be a socialist paradise on the horizon, and those who couldn’t be bothered voting, get a bite on a reality sandwich.

What is in a manifesto, of either party, and what they would do if elected with a large majority, are two different things.

We will be more like Sweden, Germany and France. I suspect most young people will handle it.

So you think there’s a chance of a majority of MPs voting for establishing a police state? Or a chance a government will ignore parliament and just create a police state anyway?

I don’t think either of those things are plausible.
