Hope this is ok mods. We usually have one a few days before and close it the day after?!
Anyway I’m interested in some of my fellow city fans thoughts, Leon’s especially. personally I think they’re all a bunch of scum bags and I don’t trust any of them.
But I’m prepared to be swayed...

I will be voting on Thursday morning

This is because I’m out for a booze soaked lunch that day which is likely to carry on and I’ll forget to do it after that

    Use your vote though people

Well a month ago it looked like the traditional 2 party system was finally coming to an end, seems not to be the case.

I'll not vote, Den. For the first time since I turned 18 I'll not be voting.

I'm just sick being let down on the promises I'm given.

It doesn't matter who you vote for, the Government get in.

I think you’re wrong to not vote

I can see why you don’t trust politicians...I don’t know anyone who does.

However at least read the manifestos and vote for the one that would be better for you and yours.

if you don’t believe any of them will actually deliver their manifestos then it still makes sense to pick one closest to what your family need so what they do actually deliver would be closer to what you and yours need.

...and if you don’t then you have no right to complain about what the Govt ever do.

    It's a nothing but a Circus, Den. We're a democracy, right?

The straw that broke the camels back for me? We as a nation voted to leave the EU.

It's every politicians duty no matter which party and no matter their own beliefs, to deliver the will of the electorate and yet again that hasn't happened. In my opinion it won't happen.

    It really is that simple.

    We gave them one job...

To be able to govern this country you don’t even need 40 percent of the votes. It’s crazy that after the election all the other votes don’t count. The majority don’t want whatever government gets in. It’s usually city against the countryside. Time for a PR system. Every vote should count. UKIP) not a fan by the way) got 5 million votes one election and got 1 seat. SNP got less and had approx 50 seats. It’s bloody ridiculous. The cons and Labour won’t want it as it takes away their monopoly. And here is the problem. The U.K. is not naturally Far right or Far left so we are frustrated to hell thst there is no in between and therefore it’s swings too far whoever gets in. However I will be voting. All in my opinion of course.

To be fair your generally correct. Already voted ' tactically ' though the 'hard working' incumbent will inevitably get in. Until we get some sort of proportional representation many of us will feel disenfranchised with our voting. I would also favour having None of The Above on the ballot papers to show our general disapproval. The election has not been helped by the social and mainstream media portrayal of a presendential individual as opposed to party and policy focus. UTT

What happens when get the result of this election?

Public were misled, lied to , no one voted to be poorer, we demand another election.

Worrying times for democracy when losers don't respect result, setting a very bad precedent.

I am straying into deleted post zone when I say there can never have been a time when the main 2 parties have both been led two absolute weapons grade ****s.

The leader and his number 2 of the Labour Party are far left Ben. This election should of been a shoe in for Labour but the personality is getting in the way of the policy. Johnson is probably going to get in despite his buffoonery.

Interesting contest in West Hull, shame Michelle Dewberry isn't up in North or East Hull where she might have won against poor MP's but Emma Hardy might just hold West for Labour?

Silly **** owned in his own video.

The people of Hull East deserve someone decent instead of this incompetent democracy-denying thin-skinned bungler.

This is the U-turn **** who resigned his post when Magic Grandad was elected leader, thinking it was a disaster for the party. Then when Corbyn became more popular he decided it was safe to come back again.

Prescott had a similar damascene conversion.

These people are the lowest of the low politically....they jump on the bandwagon when it's going well, then hop off when it looks to be going titz.

Met Michelle canvassing a couple of weeks back.

The level of vitriol and dirty tricks at her from local 'vested interests' is astounding.

She comes across as a real person, not some puppet trotting out party rhetoric.

She would make a great MP for the area, and ffs we need one.

I voted remain simply because I didn't trust the Tories to delivery Brexit that wouldn't screw over working class people. I have massive arguments with the EU on procurement, state aid, privatisation and general monetary policy. I'm naturally a lexiteer.

I urge people to at least go browse the US/UK trade talks document. The thing that scares me is food standards. Chlorinated poultry, GM crops and hormone injected beef. That would drive foods standards down for British manufacturers because of price competition.

I accepted Brexit and wanted a sensible deal with Europe. Kinda Norway style.

But the thing people don't understand is direct democracy(referendums) conflicts parliament democracy.

We elect representatives and not delegates. But I wouldn't criticise a MP for 'going against the will of people' because they're representing there constituencies in what they feel is the best way possible.

Kate Hooey is a massive Brexiteer, but representatives a ultra remain seat. But is fair for her to vote for Brexit as she believes that's in the best interest of her constituency.

That’s not actually correct though. It’s not how our political system works

The role of an MP is to represent their constituents, even the ones that didn’t vote for them.

It isn’t their role to deliver any referendums.

If you don’t like the current political system then you should look through their manifestos and see which one is suggesting it’s changed to one you’d prefer.

They’re really not. Read the manifesto alongside the Grey Book that details every penny of costing. Labour’s Policies are similar to those implemented in many Countries across Europe which are considered Centre Left.

Listen to what they say & read the Policies rather than what the Tax Evading MSM want you to believe they say.
