Even though it was in some ways a game of 2 halves, I felt after going behind the remainder of the first half we gradually built a platform for the 2nd half. I agree with what Terry said, we didn't panic going behind, and Irvine, Batty & Lopes (who was excellent IMO) started to control the midfield which went up a notch or two in the 2nd half.

Really important win after the Barnsley defeat, show we can bounce back from a loss and going behind in a game. On to TWS, oh what I would give for the same result as last season at Elland road.

Finally, I will be gobsmacked if Jarrod doesn't go for a lot of money in January, I hope not, but it won't be easy to keep him as I'm sure there will be a lot of interest fro EPL teams.

I watched the highlights on Quest. Bowen's second goal was handy.
The pundits thought it was a Thierry Henry type of goal. No VAR of course.

Just how bad are Stoke City? A team littered with quality individual players, but playing like a pub side. I can understand why their fans shouted what they did at the end. They seem to have a group of players just going through the motions. That team will get relegated.

No one seems to have mentioned the comedy moment when some 13 year old Stoke fans launched an all out attack on City fans in E1

The one in front (the one wearing his sister’s rain mac) was impressively nimble dancing through the netting to be fair. However when in the unnetted area towards the City fans he dramatically slowed down for some reason.

Police were able to saunter up and arrest him, but not until he was able to hold his arms out and encourage City fans to ‘come on then’ in the traditional manner of someone whose least favoured option is anyone actually coming on then.

Mind you he did do some physical damage to City fans...my sides ended up splitting for a kick off!

Hope you weren’t too traumatised by this dreadful incident which people will be bringing up in 45 years. I recommend, hard as it may be for you to go along with, a heavy lunch time session.

Funnily enough I will be it the pub this afternoon
I’ll try and forget the trauma of yesterday

The playground response of "OO ar ya?" was a bit League 2 tbh.

As was "It's all gone quiet over there" when we scored.

Must say it's hard to believe what a tailspin Stoke are in. Loaded benefactor, mid table PL stability achieved, then they've ****ed it spectacularly despite having some very decent larkers.

As I said , hard to believe....but also ****ing hilarious.

You just look at the squad they have. It’s incredible how just how **** they are. Group of individuals.

Another good win against a side many expected to do well. As for Bowen...even if we can hang on to him even in the short term the lad is surely destined one day to play at a higher level now. Had a glance at the table this morning and noticed the current top two sides are starting to pull away a bit. Baggies for me are nailed on and Leeds are making another charge again but they can implode and typically City could well give em a slap Tuesday night. Wide open Championship which is healthy ,City have beaten half the current top six yet struggled in games involving clubs down at the bottom...who needs the Prem ( cough )

If I was Ehab I would be calling Bowen into my office on Monday and offering him a name your price 4 year contract, his goals could be worth £100+ million come next season.

Would be nice.

Would imagine any potential move has to be initiated by the player himself first. Despite a few putting the club down and egging him on to leave he sounds happy enough but if he chooses to leave how do you stop that?

You just never know in this game anymore.

Yep
I feel for Sam clucas tbh
Good footballer playing for a hoof ball team
Looked nothing like the player we had.
And he was absolutely blowing out of his arse in the last 20 minutes. I remember him being the fittest lad in the squad at City - they clearly have some major issues off the pitch as well as on it.

thanks for posting GLP. Other than the sloppy defending for the stoke goal, we played some great entertaining footing.

Nice one Terry, keep it up. More of the same on Tuesday please
