Firstly, ask yourself why the current government has ''purged'' all the remaining moderate MPs from their minority government and attempted to ''unlawfully'' stop Parliament from sitting. Has probably attempted to bribe opponents attempting to contest seats against them. And which now wants to reduce all semblance of a balance of power by attacking the independent judiciary of this country. Then ask yourself who is funding and really directing their strategy, and why they have avoided publication of reports on this subject.
And if we leave the EU, what might happen ? Scotland and N.I. may leave and a Parliament with no Scots, no moderate MPs apart from the Lib Dems and the Greens - a system which turns 35% of the vote into a ''majority'' and which everyone knows is undemocratic, yet cling to because the alternative would imply compromise. All of this in one of the most centralized countries in the Western World. Strip all this of EU type regulations on welfare, environmental, or even democratic matters. Could a devious government ruling over a disenfranchised scared, confused and embittered electorate bring about a less democratic, less welfare based, less secure kind of ideology ? Take a look at the press in the UK. - the systematic demonization of the leader of the opposition. All the ingredients are there.

I'm genuinely concerned for the future of this country if Boris and co are given free rein to streamroller any changes they desire through Parliament. We will end up with capital punishment in a few months, benefits slashed even further, no NHS and now courts having their powers diminished. The only comments I've seen from right wingers on that article is that 'Gina Miller deserves to be slapped down'.

With the media pummelling all opposition and even the BBC distorting the truth to keep the Tories in power, the outlook is looking pretty bleak. Putin must be proud.

I've still not managed to understand why anyone would ever turn so right wing as to vote for this current lot, they're far removed from the Tories that were around in my youth:

- Is it a status thing? As in they consider themselves better than others, which their wealth proves, and any watering down of said status is a threat to their self esteem?

- Do they just not like other people and want them to suffer?

- Have they been brainwashed into thinking that they're on their own in this world, fighting for their survival in a dog-eat-dog society?

It really baffles me.

The demise of union membership and a vast increase in self employment has helped change the general attitude of the public. Boris's one nation Tories are now seen as the natural party for government, this is currently being endorsed by Labour's reckless spending promises. Fortunately the public realise that Labour is trying to buy off the electorate with vast amounts of borrowed money, which will need to be repaid.

The wishy washy LibDems have finally found a policy to call their own but the anti democratic 'revoke' idea has proved very unpopular with leavers and many remainers who think it is the height of arrogance to dismiss the referendum result.

Given the lack of decent opposition it is totally unsurprising the Tories are seen as the only viable option.

The Daily Express has reported the latest poll showing the Tories with a massive 19 point lead and a healthy majority. Tory HQ would really welcome some negative news at this stage to avoid any complacency on 12th Dec.

Marketing is all about trying to convince people that they need things, which they, in fact, don't need - and about turning yesterday's luxury into today's necessity - they need a certain dumbing down of the population in order to do this. To summarize the ideal World of SH and the other global dreamers of the free market idolatry:
1. All relationships are defined by the market.
2. Multinationals control finance, technology and production.
3. There is perfect competition among workers and localities to offer their services to investors at the most advantageous terms.
4. Multinationals are free to act solely on the basis of profitability without regard to consequences (human or environmental)
5. A common culture of consumerism unifies all people in a shared quest for material gritification.
In this vision,
- governments have a minimal economic role - enforcing contracts and protecting private property rights, and should not provide goods and services.
- The unregulated market is totally dominant and beyond constraint.
- Investors can play workers and localities off against each other and have no loyalties to place and community.
- The social responsibility of business is to maximize its profits
In the language of liberation theology the market has a 'preferential option' for the rich and powerful and it does not aim to be philanthropic. The market is designed to harness resources into the money creation process, not to provide for the needs of people. ''The uninhibited pursuit of self-interest is the polite sounding way of describing the economics of selfishness and greed in which our fellows and environment are viewed primarily in terms of what they can do for us or give us. Needless to say, any objection to any of the above leads to the risk of being labelled a Marxist ! The fact that the idealized World of the free marketeers is also directly contrary to the fundamentals of every religion on this planet (including the Jewish) does not appear to have arrived in the brain of the chief Rabbi. Nearly all of the leading Brexiteers share this dream - so it is not really all about Brexit at all (this just serves to free us of some regulations!).

I'm certain a new Boris lead government with a healthy majority will surprise even those with desperate agendas to misalign it in the political spectrum. He will lead a one nation Tory party which will firmly occupy the middle ground. Hopefully the Momentum infiltrators will remain in control of the Labour Party for ages, keeping them far away from power. The LibDems will always remain a party for handy short term protests but without any real basis for existence.

John Major took them on and won an election against the odds, restoring a sense of calm to the country after Thatcher lost the plot. Thankfully the Tories took a responsible attitude to the mess they inherited from Labour in 2010. Most sensible countries took measures to reduce the rate of increases in state spending. The UK actually took a much softer line than countries like Ireland which experienced a real state reduction in spending leading to proper austerity. During this time the public showed much annoyance to the uncontrolled immigration from the EU. They demanded action which is why UKIP became the largest party representing the UK in Brussels. A referendum was inevitable and the correct decision so the UK could assess membership of the EU which was gradually morphing into a superstate controlled by the eurocrats in Brussels.

We had the referendum, we had the decision, let us leave a.s.a.p.
