You're right Schteff, he was Squid in his beeb early days too, if he's left ja Spurf will find him. I'm not convinced at all thats the real Spurcat, comments way too tame, just the one, then runs away, and there's no way he'd be as rude as to ignore a direct hello from someone he knew...even if he didn't like them, he'd tell them what to do with their 'hello'!
I can't possibly condone any tapping up of important members of another forum... I'm not sure about the Spurcat on here either, Notso. I can't see why he wouldn't reply.
It never crossed my mind that someone would be sad enough to impersonate him. Atleast not by posting reasonably to try and avoid suspicion. FYI for anyone that's on JA, I'm YÃd Vicious over there, I'm not trying to deceive anyone with a different name
Spurcat has also left the facebook group without saying why. When you consider this is a private group by invitation only that includes many of the posters that have been mentioned on this thread it is a bit of a mystery. I am not convinced either btw that the Spurcat we see on here is the original one. I will have another go at trying to get them on here and see what happens. This may take some time so don't all keep asking how I am getting on. I will give you an update when I have something to report. Until then we have the basis of a good forum and thanks to our very sensible mods it's a lot better than the Beeb. One thing I would say whilst on the subject is that some posters on here hammer other teams posters if they appear on the Spurs board as if they have no right to be here. Many are not WUMS and are just expressing an honest opinion these should be encouraged IMO it adds a lot to hear the views of other fans. If they are WUMS our mods will deal with anyway so no need to worry.
The only time I've ever had technical problems using this site was on and around transfer deadline day, which was somewhat annoying as thats one of the key times that you would want a site such as this working, but apart from that I haven't had any problems. I haven't been around for a couple of weeks up till now so I can't comment on recent login issues. I reckon the quality of debate and features on here are better on here than on the old 606, and it's nice on here that the mods and censorship settings (usually) treat us like the adults that most of us are. From the little I've seen of JA606 the quality of the debate seems to be a few notches below that on here. At the end of the day I like it on here now, and I wouldn't move unless this site became completely unworkable.
Just spotted this on the Spurs board http://www.ja606.co.uk/articles/viewArticle/39740 if anyone cares to speak to him - I assume he will be checking it.
I have only looked on JA once or twice, and to me it seems the only good thing about it is the ability to <flan> , posting image flans is not the same please log in to view this image I remember that starting back in 2007/8 on the old 606, was often the best way to deter wums. I was General Glenn on the BBC site, joined in 2005 but only posted once or twice a week. What ever happened to Holte?
The same, only theirs is available as a smiley and so much more accessible, it is never used over here - probably because it's a bit of a hassle.
I still think this is a much better site.I do go on JA now and again, but i usually last about 10mins then get irritated by the place as a whole
