I doubt he remembers me from old 606 so I'm not sure he'd listen to me and if he does remember me, he's definitely not going to listen to me :-(
One thing I have noticed on here is that there seem to be a lot fewer knee-jerk reaction threads than there were on the old 606. On the old 606 there would have been 5 or 6 "I hate Pav" or "Harry out!" threads on tuesday night but on here there weren't really any. Whether thats because people tend to post that sort of stuff in match threads now or because of the fact that this site doesn't get as much traffic as the old 606 used to I don't know, but its certainly a refreshing difference.
Interesting reading lads, I havent been on here in a long time mainly due to not having access in work. This was always gonna happen when the old 606 died we really shouldve sorted it at the time. Gonna have a good look through the forum now, it takes a bit of getting used to with the different format. How often is this site down? Is it only at peak times and when is it busiest evenings/days would you say?
messiah good to see you, to be fair the site is not down very often. Since the hiccup that prompted my original post there has not been a problem. Maltese Mick has addressed the issue each time and boosted the server. The last time I remember having a problem was the last day of the transfer window.
As Spurf said, it's not a regular occurence. There was one day last week when there seemed to be problems; but, yes, apart from that, the last day of the transfer window is the last real problem I can remember.
Good to see you here, Messiah There's very little downtime and it does get sorted out quickly. This is the first 606 site, I'll log into in the day and I always find there's something interesting to read. The plus points for this site as I see them are: No multiple articles - any created on the same story will be merged into the original thread to keep the discussions going. No Wums - Those that wum consistently are banned from the board and they're so infrequent that they're easy to ridicule. Steveee's a good example of this at the moment. Articles last longer as popular ones are kept at the top - It's the same as "last commented" on Old 606 but it seems to work better for keeping discussions going longer. Negatives: Could probably do with a couple more regular posters as it can be a little bit quiet. Match threads are a bit quiet too. I'm usually at the game or pub watching it so I hadn't noticed but yesterday it was very slow. No Friday article like G&S'. Anyway, have a butchers and see how you like it here
I like it boys, there are some decent articles on here. Disappointed tho I have to say reading about divides and poaching users from ja606 and stuff. Then I log on to ja tonight and who do I see telling Spurcat hes wanted over here? LittleDinosaurLuke, I wont joke I nearly fell off my chair laughing. Dont get me wrong I dont have any problem whatsoever in people telling others their input would be appreciated on any site but LDL?? Is he a Spurs fan now? I aint been on here in a while last I knew he was one of the most hated wums on 606!!
Agreed, but he has calmed down somewhat. On 606 he was up there with Holte and others, but he can give an interesting outsiders viewpoint. He also knows he can't wum or he will be banned.
HarrysDisciple Dont think hes the best man for this job lol, I think he knows it too but maybe thats just the cynic in me talking!!
EXACTLY Ensil There is no divide at all, people just post wherever they want to. Admin on ja just outed you as having about 10 accounts over there???? wtf man?
Well that's proof. The guy is DC5, not S You can't really have 10 accounts over there! Who'd be bothered.
Good point on the Friday fun thread Schteff. Perhaps just do one...(well not literally! ) on a Friday and see what happens, the first few might be a bit grim, down on numbers, I know there's not too many atm in to that thing, but you don't know who's looking in and might not be able to resist! ...next Friday, we're on!
