If that's how I came across I didn't intend it to sound like that.
I meant more, if everything is going well at a club, then really a fan won't have much to do on the board. And if things are very negative, then the negativity around the club will be evident.
If we take renaming St James' as an example, I don't think it required a fan on the board to make it very apparent that it was a terribly unpopular idea.
If a club like say, Sunderland, is owned by someone who is skint is there anything a fan can do?
I think it's another idea that is lovely in principle, but ineffective in practice.
