In what way Chilco? NC barred him; they obviously did not get on. He does not like him, so he hardly likely to be complimentary.
But it does support what others have said about him....in fact, Leitch seemed pretty restrained to me.
Cortese was an egotistical megalomaniac, but he got things done and delivered success, and his success was our success. It just boils down to a question of whether you like your leaders to be egotistical megalomaniacs or whether you can't get on board with that style of leadership. Personally, I don't think 'getting things done' is a reason for being a **** bloke or being manipulative with other people in pursuit of personal ambitions. Which is why I won't vote for Boris Johnson.
DTLW - I have a few stories l could tell you about NC on the design and construction of Staplewood. Need to be careful what l write, but l have worked with one design practice on a project here in the Middle East who were integral to Staplewood; lets just say some of his late suggested design changes are hilarious! Yes very difficult, but he got the people to interpret what needed to be done and got them to deliver. Once he was gone, those same people were clueless and it all fell apart in about 2 years after left. Just to add: effective people are not always popular, it certainly helps, but is by no means a prerequisite.
Are you talking about the time he wanted to get a glass lift installed so that he could go straight to his office without having to walk up the stairs like everyone else who has an office in Staplewood?
Jose Fonte (in interview with Jim White) says it is painful to watch Saints and he doesn't feel Hassenhuttl is the man for the job. You and me both, Jose. Sorry, see already mentioned by Osvaldorama.
Let’s see over the next 4/5 games and then see, hope we see improvements on a large scale in terms of effort, commitment, tactics and confidence. If not then Fonte may right.
