Could you lay out who he is, a player or manager and what he has done in his career? I’ve never heard of him
He's never been a professional footballer. He's been an assistant to some of the top clubs in Europe, though and his first management job was Spain which he has just left.
https://lmgtfy.me/?q=roberto moreno&pp=1&iie=1 Only joking mate H'es the ex-Spain manager, did well with them and got them playing some cracking football, just beat Romania 5-0. And the got sacked before he even had a chance to celebrate the win as Luis Enrique came back. Was just a tongue in cheek thread, marra.
He was given the job symbolically while Enrique dealt with the death of his daughter or something, he will still be in the setup and will have been aware of the situation. Absolutely right though, he’s got them back playing stunning, high paced attacking football they are one of the teams to beat in the euros. In my opinion, THE team to beat, France seem to have lost an edge with the World Cup win.
They will be very strong, but I look at how competitive Northern Ireland were against them and I wonder. There’s something missing up front for them, they don’t really have a striker. They are so good at the back and in CM though, they’ll be close. The winner will come from us, the Dutch, Spain and France. Little doubt about that. All about our CB pairing and for me Mings and Maguire looks solid as a rock. He’s a proper CB is Mings.
Aye, great going forward but I think they can be shot at at the back. That’s where the other 3 are another level.
Italy blitz Armenia 9-1 and can be awkward when tournaments come around I expect England to at least get to the semi final at home
Yeah Italy are going great but they aren’t to be feared really. My nanna was Italian so I watch a load of Serie A, they have some great young players coming through, they will be incredibly strong in 2-3 years, but they’ve a pace issue. Lad called Tonali at Brescia, he is going to be right up there, pings passes all over, he will be a massive transfer in the near future. Fiorentina is my (or my nan’s) team over there and Chiesa is potentially a top 5 in world player if he moves to right club at right time, Belotti is a top striker and Romagnoli at CB, I’m amazed he doesn’t get linked with super clubs. They are a slow side though, bar Insignie and Chiesa, that’s where they are a bit short v the others. There’s a few really strong sides, and us, Italy and Spain are dripping in young lads coming through.
Cheers for this. I’ve not watched serie a for a few years now. Might have to check it out again to see these lads thanks
Its a great watch now mate, games are really open there’s a whole bunch of goals. Lot of teams play 3 up top so the games are stretched, it’s decent. The standard isn’t as high as a few years back but Inter and Atalanta are genuinely competing now, Inter could really challenge Juve this year. They don’t really bother with Italians Inter.
Atalanta are the entertainers, unstoppable in attack, but can’t defend for ****. They’ve scored between 5 & 8 7 times this season, but conceded over 3 about 8-9 times. Bonkers they are.
