Dalman wanted to buy Charlton in the summer with Lee Bowyer as manager until Duchatelet gazumped the price he wanted for the club. Bowyer wasn't happy and refused a new contract only to surprisingly later agree to a one year extension after some advice. I wonder where that advice came from.
Although super-calm on the outside as is his nature, Dalman was mightily miffed by Duchatalet and it wouldn't suprise me if he goes back there and takes Bowyer from him. It wouldn't be just out of spite - Bowyer is a winner and could do a great job for City with the right backing from Tan.
