I didn’t like the formation against Preston. Bonne was so isolated. It doesn’t play to any of our strengths. You can get away with it when you have Taylor up top, and the class Williams in behind...but not at the moment.
Both of my sons coming with me today, the first time we have all been at a game together since Wembley. That must be a good omen.
Millwall are quite a big team, so this will be in Bowyer's mind, especially since we can be quite a small side. He could play Pratley in a back 3, but we need his physical presence in midfield. Another problem is that if he plays Leko and Bonne he has no attacking options on the bench; it would not be a good game to pitch Davison into, remembering Pigott's nightmare.
I certainly wouldn’t want to see Davison out there today. Not the game to be throwing a kid in. As Solly says today, the atmosphere is going to be intense, with 15,000 teenage Peaky Blinder wanabees calling the ref / Bowyer a cvnt.
Just a feeling today will be the day our long unwinning run against our mates up the road comes to an end. 2-1 to us.
Hundreds of Charlton fans drinking at London Bridge already. Just shook hands with a good mate of @Beware of the Virus
