Why the f*CK should they. It's private business between the owners and investors.
It's nowt to do with you or your agenda against the owners.
Now piss off back to the naughty chair and go and stare at a nail

There's no way this is a bad thing, I believe they'll be involved for many years.

It's pointless, and impossie, throwing big money at a L1 club but I think we'll buy in January.

If we go up I think they'll invest again and so on until they take control.

I don’t like to assume things, but reading a little about these fellas I see no point at all in them even looking at us if they weren’t looking long term. I mean, why would you? Has to be more coming than the figures mentioned, that’s change they’ve found down the back of the sofa.

I’m quite optimistic about all of this. We will get promoted this season and hopefully it’s the catalyst for a nice upward curve back to the pl without the club being in danger financially.

    Anyway cheers.

It's probably been a while since he posted on rtg and he had at least a couple usernames. Count yourself lucky that you missed him first time around:D

I vaguely remember 26. Too busy enjoying it to remember too much about it now though.

I did, Moll, thanks . . . . I played football in the morning, then spent about an hour on being 'a second pair of eyes' before helping to prepare 'birthday tea' as is usual for birthdays in our family, and drinking a fair bit of red wine (my favourite and quite inexpensive - McGuigan Black Label Merlot) later whilst watching the Grand Prix :emoticon-0105-wink:

Spot on. This is exactly why I'm not worrying about it or wanting clarification from the club or anything. The Americans have obviously decided, for now, not to do a takeover. They are, however, getting involved. There are 2 options here, either this is a first step and depending on what happens they might or might not become shareholders later, or they've randomly decided to become a bank and fancied loaning money to a third division football side just to make less than £1m profit between 3 or 4 of them. Option 2 just wouldn't happen, why on earth would they do it?

So we can be fairly safe in assuming that 3 (or 4) multi billionaires are now invested in the club. They have earmarked money to be spent on medium - long term ground work which would help any future owners. We've all moaned (rightly) about the academy and recruitment, and this even just on it's own is going to help us with that.

Maybe it's guaranteed that they convert the loan to shares later (so if we can't get up that £10m gets them most of the club, if we do it gets them a bit less but with less risk and more profit for Donald, giving him what he wants in terms of getting to stay on and hoping to maximise his return). Maybe it's a decision that they'll take later and they'll only get shares if we're in the Championship. Either way all we can do is get behind the lads and hope that we do well. I just can't see how this can be anything other than a major positive, so I'm not too interested in pressing to be given the minute details that they simply won't provide. Hell the debt isn't even against SAFC, let them crack on and see where we are at the end of the season
