Off to Valencia for the weekend
Anyone been
Any tips
Cheers

would have said go see Valencia FC. But they are at home tomorrow, away at the weekend, although only down the road at Espanyol, and at home again in the Europa League during next week.
Know someone who spends half the year in Valencia as his daughter lives there. Really likes it and prefers it to Barcelona. Though the shenanigans on local politics, or corruption, is pretty amazing.
One recommendation is to have an authentic paella as this is where it originated. Obviously not as vibrant as Hull but sure you will enjoy it.<laugh>
One thing he likes is the central market, wishes we had ones like that here.

I would have thought all those who were praising Greta would be reducing their carbon footprint and having walking and cycling holidays in the UK.

I have praised Greta, but I am also a keen hypocrite (so have three holidays requiring flights booked at the moment...I'll avoid any plastic straws on the flight though, so I'll be doing my bit)

Fantastic city
Go to the city of arts and science
The oceanographic is the biggest aquarium in Europe and makes the Deep, look, like a goldfish bowl,in your front room
Also you can see the Holy Grail in the cathedral, if you believe that type of thing
Outside the city Xativa is the home of the Borgia popes, a short train ride, the hotel Mont Sant is brilliant
Happy hols and memories

I’m sat outside a bar in Valencia, in me shorts. It’s boiling
How is it back home boys??

Tho this Spanish guitarist is getting right on my pigging nerves
He’s refused to play one tonne of Mary too

I'm sitting in Mallorca, 26 and hot! Not that I need an excuse to consume Estrella!!
What makes it even better, no guitar player!

On a sunbed in the Algarve. Just got out the pool and felt momentarily chilly. Quick rub down and I’m back lounging like a lizard in the mid-day sun, warming up again.

I’m on the port by the way. 5 euros a bottle. Wife thinks it’s red wine and has commented several times how pleased she is I’m taking it easy this holiday. <laugh><laugh><laugh>

In the MRI waiting room. North Staffs Hospital. God Bless the NHS.

Out on the piss tomorrow, in Manchester, I’ve not checked but I’ll guess it’ll be raining.

Had a full Summer Holiday off the booze so may well be on the early train home.

The lay off might well affect you, Ben. Went for over 4 months earlier this year without a drink. Went down the pub at 8.30.pm and had to go home after a couple of hours or so as I was feeling a bit woozy. Only had 8 pints of cider and 6 rums, the excellent Kraken, as well.Old age could be playing a part of course.

Don’t blame your age it’s more likely you had a drink spiked. Some floozy trying to take advantage. You did right to go home & stay safe.

Went to Spain way back in 1973. There was a Spanish bloke playing tunes on an electric organ in a bar. Someone said that he played as long as people got him a beer and if someone asked for something he couldn’t play they got a beer on the house. Doubted it myself but he was playing everything people asked. So I went up and asked him to play Otis Redding’s I’ve Been Loving You Too Long. To my amazement he launched straight into it.

Nobodies asked me to play New England?
